Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK
Matus, so what indeed, not much, just talking... But we're talking about slip-joints designed for restrictive UK market that are not affordable in UK market. I doubt that all excited guys in here (no names, just generally speaking) will spend that much on a PK. And they are somehow affordable - see ...

Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK
This is just SUPER EXCITING news. I desperately want this to work and to be great. Not trying to be confrontational, but somebody on the Damasteel Urban lookout thread didn't seem particularly excited about the £332 = $430 local dealer price. We have war and sanctions in Europe, that translates int...

Re: Help with the Spydie Chef
This has lock stick because Spyderco feels that it doesn't need a steel insert, basically a cost reduction, while you get steel inserts on much cheaper knives from the competition. And the lock interface is probably not heat treated - again cost reduction - for example I don't have lock stick on Sly...

Re: Help with the Spydie Chef
This problem can actually be described as a matter of the heart, a clash of feelings. Between your OCD knife aficionado feelings (no offence :winking-tongue ) from a buyer perspective. And Spyderco's feelings that they are still having in 2022 - from a seller perspective - that steel inserts are not...

Re: A good day for getting cool stuff
$347 MSRP 70% MAP that's 242$ Unfotunately in efing EU that's more likely closer to 300EUR, so I guess it's gonna sell like hot cakes in EU. There's plenty of russians buying Spydercos, I could see them on YT or IG. Now they are thrown out of Swift so that market might just as well disappear as thei...

Re: Carbon Fiber S90V UKPK
I'm not all about drop point but I would like to see another blade shape in UK PKs as I said there were plenty of leafs done already with this model.
This topic was about CF scales, so why not try another blade shape along with that CF.

Re: Spyderco Military in S110V question?
https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-mdD9Pr2/0/X5/i-mdD9Pr2-X5.jpg For me the ultimate military is the Knifeworks exclusive frame lock/CF in s90v :) That is an excellent piece indeed, it didn't sell out at 279.99$, I was fortunate to buy one when they were on sale at 200$. Now a regular G10 S30V Mil...

Re: Appeal to bring back the stunning Titanium UK Pocket Knife
Heinnie sold the HH UKPK S30v in burgundy G10 about 3-6 months ago for £80, so about €90ish. I would like to think the shipping / oil issues that the pandemic brought, will mellow in the coming year, which should bring prices back to something more palatable. I would like to avoid making a €500 saf...

Re: Appeal to bring back the stunning Titanium UK Pocket Knife
So, (for those unaware) I have been pushing for a Damasteel UKPK since July 2020. I asked initially for damascus steel, not really knowing the difference. It was this thread that first brought me here, because I wanted a Ti UKPK. I registered, and commented, and read. Then I kicked off with this DA...

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?
The way that is worded is sounds like the Caly line is made by an external company, not Spyderco themselves, but maybe I am reading it wrong. Caly is made in Japan and unless management changes or DPRK or China will nuke Japan they will always be made in that shop. With prices will always go up pol...

Re: Pricing
Buck is larger, Spyderco is smaller and tormented, not to mention was sick and bullied in childhood and father left with another woman... People bring arguments that everything goes up in price, that's correct, this is happening now due to pandemic, supply chain issues, inflation, governments printi...

Re: Show your collections!
Good Morning everyone! Probably a lot of us collect things other than knives. I, for instance, have long had an interest in coin collecting. I was introduced to this hobby by my dad, who also collects coins. My collection never grew beyond a few Whitman books of wheat pennies, a handful of silver q...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
How many would buy or not buy the Ayoob CruWear G-10 Sprint if the street price (MAP) was $300? 300$=400EUR but since when the ridiculous prices are becoming a problem with Spyderco :grin-big eyes This wasn't intended to be cheap, when I asked what was wrong with VG10 the two +20k posts blah blah b...

Re: 2022 Reveal — Stovepipe Thread C260TIP
In Europe it costs 600€ = 674 USD Why so much? $420 = €374 + 20% VAT = €449 There seems to be some new luxury pricing treatment applied for these in Europe and I think Spyderco is no stranger to this. 600EUR for a weird looking piece for which they didn't bother adding a steel insert because of the...
