Re: We know what you mean...but still

While I understand where you're coming from, this is a forum, not a college writing class. So long as posts are coherent, I see no reason to insult everybody by taking the arrogant position of correcting us. By doing so you have insinuated that we are some how less intelligent than you, which may or...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

If I am carrying a folder, it is 99% of the time a Spydie. However, I have carried a Fox 479 Kbit folder. I sometimes carry a Kabar TDI Fixed blade or a TOPS Devil's Elbow XL fixed blade. But mostly, I have a Spydie folder of some sort.

Re: Show your EDC

Yeah, I thought you were talking about the LCR. I had an SP101 too, but I sold it after getting the LCR because the SP101 was fairly heavy and didn't offer anything the LCR didn't, beyond .357 magnum capabilities, but I don't load .357s in 2inch barrels. The lowest I'll go to use .357s is a 4inch ba...

I made a mistake...

A big one. One that I will likely never forget. I had a Negligent Discharge last night. I have no excuses, and accept all responsibility for it. I was tired, just go back from a night of very heavy lifting, and was not all awake. I was screwing around with one of my .38 snubbies, what I had been car...

This is why I don't own a UKPN, or any non locking folders. I like my fingers (I still end up cutting myself though).

Re: American Sniper

It is pretty good, but they did add stuff for the sake of drama alone. Such as the whole Mustafa thing. That never happened as far as it being related to Kyle, anyway. He was real, but him and Kyle never crossed paths, according to his book. It was a good film, never the less.

"I would say that people often confuse fitness with "weight loss.'" ****, I cannot hammer this home enough. Same goes for weight and Health. Skinny isn't necessarily healthy.

Re: Your favorite Spyderco at the table?

I only use mine for food when I don't have access to anything else. Generally speaking it's to cut up a piece of fruit and eat it slice by slice.

Re: Military Service?

I was so serious about enlisting at one point that I was at my local recruiting office's door when I decided I would be better served going to college for my intended career (Law Enforcment), despite the fact that having military experience is pretty much a free ticket into most LE agencies. I am on...

Re: Military Service?

I've always approached military service as a subjective thing. I served for 4 years in the Marines 1996-2000. I joined out of high school but didn't really go anywhere. Kings Bay,GA. Then 29 Palms, CA. We all join knowing what we are potentially going into. A lot of us are facing nothing better to ...
