The Calys and the brown G10 Calypso sprint run were unfortunately not pinned. Or at least not completely. Can you please tell me if the prototype had a pivot pin or pivot screws?MarcusH wrote:Can not remind any member of the Calypso/Caly-family, which was not pinned.

And I think there are many other forum members who are also interested. I would prefer pinned stainless steel or micarta handles and I also don't really care which s...

When one side gets dull you can flip it over and use the other side. It stays sharp twice as long as other knives. :D I've always liked daggers. Tom :D good point but most times you do not dull your edge so quickly that you immediately need a new edge. Especially with spyderco's steels. Furthermore...

I think the lava is a great knife. The only reason I didn't buy a sprint was the color. Even though I like G10 I would prefer stainless steel like on the original. Is there any chance to bring back the original Lava? Or make a stainless steel sprint run? But I guess those pinned knives don't sell well

Yes :) I'm glad You like, this is the right spirit: brown or grey Manix ate still missing... But which You prefer before: brown or grey?! And which steel? In general I would prefer brown but I think gray suits the Manix better. Steel? CPM Cru-Wear like the Military sprint or CPM S35VN which is one ...
