The Calys and the brown G10 Calypso sprint run were unfortunately not pinned. Or at least not completely. Can you please tell me if the prototype had a pivot pin or pivot screws?

It was some sort of polished maroon G-10.
This sounds great. Was it pinned or screwed?

I have already written several times in the past that I would really like a Calypso or a Calypso Jr sprint run or a new version of it. And I think there are many other forum members who are also interested. I would prefer pinned stainless steel or micarta handles and I also don't really care which s...

Stainless steel Caly 3.5 also sounds interesting even though I would rather prefer the Caly3.

Kopa, Calypso and CalypsoJr with pinned handles made out of stainless steel or some other metal. That would be very cool in my opinion.

But that's the only purpose of a dagger. Besides maybe collecting. But I prefer to use all of my knives

When one side gets dull you can flip it over and use the other side. It stays sharp twice as long as other knives. :D I've always liked daggers. Tom :D good point but most times you do not dull your edge so quickly that you immediately need a new edge. Especially with spyderco's steels. Furthermore...

"Need" is probably a word best avoided in a forum where most of us have dozens of knives :) . But I agree, double edged daggers really aren't good for much. Yes I know. People like us who collect knives hate the question "what do you need that for" and I am sorry I had to use it...

Sorry I don't like this knife(and similar ones) at all. What do you need this kind of knife for? In addition it doesn't really look like a spyderco in my opinion. Why don't you design more knives like the "Fiorentino"? It was a really interesting one. I hope you keep showing us your knife ...

Really cool idea. In my opinion there is a lack of Spyderco knives like that today. I really hope this knife will be produced some day.

I think the lava is a great knife. The only reason I didn't buy a sprint was the color. Even though I like G10 I would prefer stainless steel like on the original. Is there any chance to bring back the original Lava? Or make a stainless steel sprint run? But I guess those pinned knives don't sell well

I believe this knife would be best with around 17 or 18cm(7in) overall length, no clip, smooth G10 and pinned construction. In my opinion there is a lack of "gentleman's folders" by Spyderco and this one would be a great addition. But that's just my view. However the version on the photos ...

I think that's a great idea. I almost bought a left hand military but decided not to get one because it's just too big for my needs. Maybe the chinese folder by Bob Lum or a Sage could be interesting. What do the other lefties and the Spydercrew think about another lefty knife?

I would really like a gray or brown Manix. Those are my favorite colors for Spydercos. Blue could also be nice but it has to be a dark shade in my opinion.
