I didn't watch the Oscars. I never do. I got disgusted with them years ago.
I am glad it won and the affects were very good. I wish it had been nominated for more. Some of those actors really made you feel their pain and grief.

Re: Masters of the Air
I wish my dad had talked more about his experiences. He was bitter about his service experiences and I think he suffered from PTSD (sure of it). He said most of his squadron didn't survive and that he survived a B17 crash in the desert. I know he was injured and had back surgery. He was a radio oper...

Re: Family friendly jokes
A six year old goes crying to his mother because his little sister pulled his hair. “Don’t be angry,” the mother says, “Your little sister doesn’t realise that pulling hair hurts.” A short while later, there’s more crying, and the mother goes to investigate. This time the sister is bawling and her b...

Re: Masters of the Air
What I found stupid was that the Army threw away many of those lives. They did not give them proper air cover until late in the war. True, the fighters were unable to attain the range needed, but that was a problem a bit of ingenuity could have fixed. They finally did solve it, but not early enough....

Re: Scientists found nanoplastics in arteries
I saw that. You know, that means that the stuff clogging up arteries is not simply cholesterol and statins will do little good. The question is, how to remove the plastic? Also, I remember seeing a study somewhere that being overweight is often tied to plastic from bottles, bags, etc. that we ingest...

Will the 15V Lil Native be coated?
I wonder if the 15V lil Native will come with the new coating on the blade and metal parts? I actually hope so. I am excited about the new coatings and the Lil Native is a great pocket knife. I don't know if I would want a blade and other metal parts the same color as the scales, or some other color...

Re: new coating coming!
I am excited about the coatings. This could mean that steels that rust easily and badly will suddenly become viable options for many of us who live in extreme environments or salty ones. Maybe even Vivi won't be able to rust them.

Maybe Sal could hook up with Smith and Wesson and get some Aluminun-Scandium alloy for the scales...light and strong.

Re: Any word on the Salsa?
Hi Sal,
I personally would prefer a Compression lock or a back lock, and the new 15V would be just fine. But, SPY27 would be good, too. I'm happy with that steel in my limited usage.

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report
I wonder if the 15V Lil Native will be made in the LW? I think the blade is too thick on the standard for the best cutting, but it does make it stout and to me, a better choice than something like the Techno.

Re: Any word on the Salsa?
Yeah, it would be new. I remember discussion about it and some were in favor of the cobra hood and some not. The hood looks cool, but I personally think it would be in the way of cutting.yablanowitz wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 8:47 amWould that be different than the old Salsa with compression lock?

It certainly is! I like the color of the G10, too.
The Manix 2 LW in 15V looks really good, too.

A woman went to the doctor struggling with fertility.
Worried, she said to the doctor: “Doc, please help me I’ve tried everything, but I can’t get pregnant.”
The doctor pondered for a moment before answering: “It may be a hereditary problem… Did your mother have kids?”

A couple with three children were waiting in line to purchase tickets for a boat trip to a nearby island. A little boy was afraid of the dark. One night his mother told him to go out to the back porch and bring her the broom. The little boy turned to his mother and said: “Mama, I don’t want to go out there. It’s dark.” The mother smiled reassuringly at her son. “You don’t have to be afraid of the dark,”...

Shabazz is back.
I had no idea that Nick Shabazz is back doing reviews on YouTube. After his tearful farewell a couple of years ago, he was supposed to never return.
I saw he did a review on the new Knifejoy Slysz Bowie. When I looked further, I found he has been posting a good bit this year.
Well, glad he's back.
