I had similar trouble with my Pacific Salt, and, coincidentally, the sharpie trick helped me. The part of the blade closest to the handle was a bigger angle than towards the tip. A quick reprofiling, and it was fine. I'd be curious to know if you have the same problem.

Hawbills customized with the wave have always looked awkward to me, since it's a straight cut above a curved blade. I loved EDCing the Endura4 until I got a Pacific Salt. The Pacific Salt just feels so much lighter for having the same size blade, and the lack of liners hasn't affected performance negatively for me.

I've never had to send in a knife, but it's the peace of mind that has kept me buying more.
