Re: go to edc combo?

Right now it's a ZT 0560 Blackwash and an SE Manbug. I replace the 0560 with a Sage 1 if I'm going to be around NKP's.

Re: recieved dogtag

How easy is it to open and close? Any chance it would open when you wouldn't want it to?

Re: Norway trip with ukpk

I spend a lot of time in Norway, and they have really strict knife laws. They gave you a stare because you're not a construction worker or hiker, which are pretty much the only people I've seen with knives there.

Re: dogtag worries

If you wipe it and oil it every day, I can't imagine there would be any problems. Also, wear it blade side out.

Hi! It's good to hear you're back. I've missed your pictures of expensive knives on fancy cars.

You know, I'm kinda glad that these won't be out for a while. I really don't think I could survive on ramen for the amount of time it would take to get the money for all of the new models I want: Dogtag, Rubicon, GB2...

I think it's all been said, but I'll say it again: that was a perfect example of a knife saving the day. Way to go.

I WILL be buying a Dog Tag Folder :D
The Rubicon is pretty nice, but it'll be $250+, judging by the MSRP.
I still want a Military, Manix, or Dice, but it all depends on the knife laws for where I go to school :(

Personally, I find that SE knives are almost easier to sharpen, particularly because you don't have to worry about every nick and dull spot. Very minor edge damage doesn't hurt SE performance nearly as much as it hurts PE performance.

I read on Britishblades once that when stick tangs fail, it's where the tang meets the blade, not somewhere along the tang itself. I agree that a stout stick tang can be batonned. It helps when the blade is thin ish and slides through the wood with less resistance.

I'm not quite at the point where I don't want to buy any more knives. I have about ten I really like, and I think I'll stop around fifteen :)

I have an 0560 BW (blackwash). It is one of the most comfortable knives I have ever held, first place going to the Sage 1. It's not a small knife, and it's certainly way bigger than any folder anyone would ever need, but **** it looks knice :)

I actually like ZT a lot. I have an 0350 and 0560. They are two of my favorite knives, and cut very well for being so bulky. They are also some of the most comfortable knives in hand I have ever held.
