Re: Police 4 broken pivot

This is not 100 % sure info, but you can get titanium hardware for Endura 4 on eBay. I think that screw hardware could be the same between on Seki models.
But this is the last option, I would way for the CS from Spyderco.

Re: Reveal 7, a what now?

Lot of interesting models.

I like that K390 Stretch has straight spine.
But, really out of the blue, micarta PM2 is speaking to me.
Next year I will one of these (or Caribbean, or Military).

Re: UF OR TRANSLUCENT STONE?

Translucent stone is a type of Arkansas stone. IIRC, Arkansas stones are sedimentary rocks, basically a silicon oxide, SiO2. They are rated based upon the density, lower density ones cuts faster and they are ,,lower,, in grit rating. High density ones have finer grit. I would get UF stone, just beca...

Re: Simple Endura Mod

Nice mod. I did take sandpaper a few times to my Spydercos, most notable was the Chief, I round the corners off. Moral of the story, don't be affrayd to mod your knife, if you know you are not going to sell it. Always wanted to try the Endura, maybe next year. I think I spend enough money this year ...

Re: As a fan, it's sad Spyderco isn't adressing the slysz bowie problem.

The Slysz Bowie was sold at 280€ in Europe back then and in my opinion, that was part of the appeal. Getting a Spyderco alternative to a Sebenza (sort of) at half the price, with stellar design, good look and very good fit and finish. What would justify the price jump to 400 euros, with everything ...

What main sellers did you mean? Lamnia and knivesandtools? Or someone else?

Re: As a fan, it's sad Spyderco isn't adressing the slysz bowie problem.

Man, I don't know. This is really one of those thing that I can't really wrap my head around. If the model sell well, Spyderco is going to keep it in the line up. Gayle Bradley 2 was introduced in like 2016, and it is still in 2021 catalogue. I guess the sales are ok enough to keep it. Slysz Bowie w...

What about some medium volume carbide steels, like CPM 3V?
Is the Spyderco medium ceramic stone good or not so good choice?

Re: Para Military 2 Titanium

Titanium PM2 makes sense for me only if they made it as copper BladeHQ exclusive - titanium scales with only one liner for compression lock.
But, if you go that route, why not made the scales from FRN and make a LW version?
Am I right or am I right?

I would say, if the knife sells THAT well, it will not get discontinued.
The whole Slysz Bowie HYPE started with one youtuber, who praised it to heaven and then suddenly price in secondary market skyrocketed....go figure.

Re: German Made Stuff: Quality Superb

I have Muhle STF synthetic shaving brush - excellent piece, I am using it everyday. I am driving a 2019 VW Polo, great little car. And some various little things like set of Wiha torx bits, and some LUX Made in Germany tools. I think that sometimes are german things a bit overrated, but, QC is more ...

Do you remember when Benchmade Bailout came out in CPM 3V and they were like 56 HRC?
I have no problems that they are going to use Cru-wear, but please, harden it properly.

Re: Who wants more BBL and BAL ?

[ Well, I too think that Spydercos mid backlock is unbeatable and the best, most versatile and safest lock, but for me that does not mean the CBBL is "bad" - as said, for me it is a close second behind the backlock (concerning (no) bladeplay it is even better, but a bit of blade play does...

Re: Steel that takes the keenest (sharpest) edge?

Can you or others who know more about steels than I do confirm what is said there about O1? I am no expert, but the description is right. O1 is very simple steel with very few alloying elements. But the few elements, like a bit of Mn and hint of Cr makes it oil-hardening. 1095, which is very simila...

Cool test. I guess the rubbish S30V is still not that rubbish as some people claim :D
I want to ask, what handle was more comfortable in use, G10 or FRN?
