Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!

Ha Ha All,

Promise I’ll let you know when I come across them, but this forum will likely be all over it before I am!

Going to be a great addition to the Spyderco line and my pocket, :grin-big eyes I suspect the same for many others as well.

Re: Will Taiwan, Japan, and China Spyderco be moving to Golden?

I’m 99.98% on sheltering the factory seconds crowd when in town,

The other .02% is leaning to ramped up sprint runs while maintaining standard production….

Forecasting lots of Native Chief offerings in the not to distant future.

Will Taiwan, Japan, and China Spyderco be moving to Golden?

Will any of the Taiwan, Japan, Italy, China produced Spyderco be moving to Golden once the factory expansion is complete?

Or is it really just intended to shelter the factory seconds crowd when in town??? :winking-tongue

So what is going to go on in this new space? and how big is it?

Re: M4 Bow River?

I’ll also jump on the bandwagon for the 14C28N as a base level steel. I here it is comparable to AUS-8?????. See it in Casstrom product from Sweden. Personally, not interested in Bow River … have a Sprig and like its design more … not to mention its S90V blade … yes I know I paid about 10x more for ...

Re: How have your preferences changed over the years?

Generally speaking … not much!!!!! Where it hasn’t changed: Delica is my favorite folder and has been for over a decade, Still find fixed blades of more interest than folders!!!!! Where it has changed: Open to trying differing designs and metals other than stainles steel. Liking wharncliffe more tha...

Re: leafjumper v delica

Seems completely different to me; and not Delica similar. But I am a ginormous Delica fan and ever so slightly biased. I wonder if the Delica was stretched … about 1/4” when closed and about 1/2” when open … if it would go over well? This I would consider similar to the Delica. I’ll eventually get a...

Anyone enjoying the Stok Drop Point?

I know it is about 99% personal preference and 1% other, is anyone out there enjoying the Stok Drop Point? Handled one while in Spyderco yesterday and thought “Wow … this is a really cool little knife!” I’ve avoided China manufacture Spyderco as I don’t like to support the country - but this one is ...

Are all SE’s single sided bevel?

Are all SE’s a single sided bevel?

I’ve not taken to this profile other than on a few woodworking chisels.

I know some PE kitchen knives with single sided bevel exist as well and they have a tendency to drift when cutting.

Does a SE that is beveled each side make any sense? Well, why not!

Re: Which Delica 4, is the right Delica?

They all are - if the handle fits your hand, and the knife design fits with your intended uses. I think both knives mentioned are equally good and equally bad if not a fit for you. I’m a huge delica 4 fan! I like both the plain edge and the wharncliffe. Think the overall blade length is superb for t...

First Spyderco in 2023

What’s your first Spyderco in 2023? Picked up a super blue D4 the other day. My first Spyderco (and first knife) for 2023. Factory outlet had plenty of uniformed and non-uniformed customers when I dropped in during the lunch hour. Display cases were fairly well stocked compared to my last visit some...

I think the closest we got was a UKPK in Spy-27 in Blue G10 with Forum Knife written on the backspacer. I believe that was Sal's last suggestion.
I would be fully up for this.
