Re: Robin 2 is tight and crunchy
I have a Robin 2 with similar difficulties, I have tried everything short of disassembly to smooth it out, added tuff-glide, tried some graphite on the operating surfaces of the mechanism, and a lengthy opening-closing cycle. it has improved, but it feels like its going to take many more cycles to g...

Re: compression lock dreams...
I feel like we should have a "Military 2" with the comp lock. Seems like a natural evolution since the PM2 and Para 3 sport it. I'd definitely buy one, the liner lock has prevented me from dropping the coin on a Millie, though I love the rest of the design/size. Add tip up carry while wer...

Re: "Thanx much" Spyderco Forums
Pretty sure my old lady I getting me one in the SE Hawkbill flavor for Christmas, yup - she's a keeper.
I have a robin 2 I love the size of for shirt pocket carry and office use, but the DF2 is lighter with better steel and build quality, looking forward to it.

Re: Now's the time: For a New Hawkbill!!!
What i'm picturing is either a Manix 2/XL, or Yojimbo 2 Hawkbill design, both handle patterns seems they would accommodate a hawk blade easily. CBBL or compression lock, if the Manix 2 Platform was utilized, you could then also have an XL megahawk, and a LW hawkbill as well. seems like a win to me o...

Re: Little Hawkbills Setting A New Trend
Funny, My girlfriend just asked me what Spyderco I want for Christmas and I told her to grab me a DF2 Salt SE Hawkbill. I've been wanting a smaller Salt SE spydie as a companion to my larger PE's that I carry. That I can pull out at the office without scaring the snowflakes, but still with a ...

Re: Help me shop for my first SE Spyder
Thanks for all the great recommendations and info friends, I've narrowed it down to a Tasman salt, Pac salt, or a Reacue.
Leaning toward the Tas for the hawkbill and size, as I'll always have a larger PE on me.

Re: What were your first five Spydercos and why?
First post, Spyderco is a new obsession for me. Used to be a Kershaw & CRKT guy, but Spyderco excellence is in a whole different class from what I'm finding. 1) Resilience 2 & 3) Endura 4 Emerson, and Robin 2 on order. To buy: Yojimbo 2, Manix 2 XL and Dragonfly 2 ZDP-198. I have a thing for...
