At $400 I simply would not buy it. I have many other things I can do with that money. The Caly3 ZDP is about as pricey as I am willing to go, and only then because this is a special knife. I would like to see other blade steels in the Chaparral, as well has handle material, but not at that price.

You will love that Dragonfly. No matter what else you carry, it will always be with you. My G10 replaced everything. I have bigger and smaller knives but this is the one I have with me no matter what. You will not be disappointed. A word of warning, though...Dragonflys are addicting. :D Once you hav...

one very annoying problem. My example has an annoying gritty sound whenever I open it one handed using the Spydie Hole. There is a video on YouTube regarding this issue. It seems to be a burr or something on the tang, or perhaps, the lock bar is dragging because of the design. The owner in the vide...

I would take the Chaparral, hands down. It is smaller than the Delica, thinner, but the blade length is close to being the same. The carbon fiber looks great and there seems to be a new titanium version with some really radical looking circles made from, of all things, straight lines. It is beautifu...

Another issue with linerlocks is that they can, and will, come open in your pocket from time to time. If they have a backspring like the Case Mid-Folding Hunter and the GEC #55 Hounds Tooth, then it is not an issue. I believe the Dragonfly is much safer to carry around in your pocket, clipped or dro...

I have an important question that needs asking: are the handles Texas orange  or Tennessee orange :) ?

Has anyone seen the new orange Dragonfly?

Hi Folks,

Has anyone seen the orange Dragonfly, yet? I have one on order but it has not arrived. I was wondering if anyone had seen it and what they thought of it.

I have had a great experience with Knifeworks.com. They ship out the same day and use tracking (even overseas!). I have started a relationship with Howes and he did me a good turn, so I think I am going to like this dealer, too.

Besides the afore mentioned Spyderco edge-u-cation try this site http://www.zknives.com/knives/articles/knifesteelfaq.shtml for a discussion of steels. I disagree (as to many) of the characterization of Sandvik steels, though. Otherwise, it is very helpful. VG-10 is a great performer, BTW. http://ww...

I have the G10 Dragonfly and it was worth every penny. I carry it everyday, everywhere, regardless of what else I may or may not have. It is a good all-around choice and the G10 gives enough traction to use a long grip if you need extra reach. I do have on order the orange DF but I will wait until i...

I'm listening to the new John Fogerty album. Interesting mix of old favorite songs with new performance partners. Most of the new versions still have the spirit of the originals, though. That's a good thing. TedP Fogerty ...

Anyone know when the Orange FRN Dragonfly will be released?

Does anyone out there know when the orange FRN dragonfly will be released? Also, where can we buy one. I contacted KW and they had never heard of it. But from what I have read, it is a new product.

Thanks,

Doc

You can go to Buck Knives and order a custom knife pretty much any way you want it. Even if it is not listed on their website you can call them and discuss the project. I am certain Spyderco could do something like this. Also, on some models they could simply offer different scales as the knives are...

I'm Catholic and go to church on Sundays. I'm actually an alter server. I usually take my knives out of my pockets and put them in my drawer before church. I'm not looking to get all into biblical philosophy and everything, just some yes's and no's. Do you think it's right to carry a knife in churc...

I have read of people experiencing problems with the sheath. This is a new knife and I guess it has bugs. Reading this caused me to put the Enuff I had on order on hold. I want to see what transpires out of this. I know Spyderco will fix this problem. I have heard this is a great knife, other wise (...
