I just follow the video instructions for serrated, using the curved edge of the white stones only. I seem to get excellent results and don't notice any excessive material being removed

Both are favorites of mine, I think in your case the major difference is all dollars (about 65) I would go for the Native first.

I do not have a "carry all the time" spyderco knife. I rotate my favorite Spydies. The closest to an everyday carry is my SAK "Victorinox Executive" always in my left front pocket.
