Any news?
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around lately. I'm wondering what the status is regarding this knife. What type of steel will it be? Will it be a special order item or general production?

Military or Para
After thinking about it, and especially after reading the "USA Made" post from Sal today, I've decided to get him either a Military or Para.
As for me, I think I'll be getting myself a little present soon, one with a double edge. :)

I have had the advantage of being able to make the knives that I have wanted. There is an allure of the symmetry of a double edge knife. In use, as a tool, the dagger is about making small deep holes. I find that with two edges I have one for the work to be done and one edge to be a hazard to me. I...

Army/Marine regs for Knives/Daggers??
Last year my cousin went off to Iraq, and I bought him a nice Endura. He really loved it. He's on his way to visit the middle east again, this time I'd like to give him a small dagger, for kind of a "last option" scenario. He's the real thing... an on the ground, rifle in hand, fighting ma...

There is no douth if (IF) we can find a nice Chinook ll. We will work on getting it. We will just take our time and see what we can find. One thing about these Spyderco's half the fun is the hunt for the one you want. Well maybe not quite half the fun, you know what I'm saying. Have fun and Thanks,...

I love my Chinook.
Bam-it, buy a Chinook. You won't regret it. My Chinook 2 is my fav Spyderco knife. It's solid and strong. I also have a model 1, and I like the double edge blade (mine has the top sharpened for the 1st inch or so).

Swords.
Anyone here into swords?
Anyone know of a sword forum (with a good tutorial).
I have a US calvary saber and I'd like to know it's value.
And I'd like to learn about swords in general, and US swords in particular.

I thought the byrdrench was so cool that I bought one for everyone in the office.. thinking this will replace the SAKs. It didnt though, for two reasons I believe: 1) The tool is quite "fat" making the driver set only useful in larger spaces, whereas your average sak has a much narrower tu...
