Re: Open Back Construction

Hi Marulaghost, I have a number of custom knives from South Africa. Our distributor there is a friend of mine and has gifted some. We're always open to collaborations. Generally they approach us. Maybe some South African makers would consider designing a Spyderco. Has to have that hole in the blade...

Assist

I really want to recommend the H1 version but they might prefer the cobra hood that only goes with the VG10

Re: Open Back Construction

The original Military partial back spacer was designed to house a tritium vial. The holes in the scale were smaller than the hole for the vial so it would glow if lost on the ground. We got a great price on tritium vials from South Africa As it turned out, the tritium was so regulated in the US tha...

Re: Spyderco Pocket Knives

Nice! What is the orange scaled Spyderco in the second row? Spyderco does pocket knives better than other companies, not that other companies make poor products. It’s just that I think Spyderco does it best. Spyderco makes a pocket knife for every occasion and to fit most people. I do not have ever...

Re: Z-Cut Spyderco Food Prep Knife in BD1N!

My 3 versions of this knife came in yesterday 1 PE pointed 2 SE ( 1 pointed, 1 blunt tip) I knew they were going to be small and thin, but I'm suprised how small and how incredibly thin they'd be. So i got set to testing them. I made chicken paprikesh! I tried out the PE on a massive onion first, on...

Re: Is the Siren a Salt?

No liners? Well that knocks it off my list, I guess I'll just have to "settle" for a Waterway! I don't like this linerless trend >:( Why not? Honestly I'm not sure how thick the knife is but based on what i've been seeing the G10 looks substantial. And with it being a salt ( how couldn't ...

Re: Is this a fake?

If you think that hunk of crap is "very well made" you ought to try a legitimate spyderco knife. That way you aren't supporting thieves and you can see for yourself what "very well made" actually means. Serious question... aside from the morals and ethics of making a counterfeit...

Re: Is this a fake?

Several things. The clip is wrong. The way this is bent is in no way how spyderco makes theirs. The edge profile is wrong. The actual PM2 has way more belly than I'm seeing here. This edge has a prob that looks straight. But the biggest thing is that this knife is a liner lock. Spyderco has never m...
