I have used only eBay or The Cove. You can figure giving up about 20% after shipping and fees on eBay but then again I've always gotten a better price on ebay so maybe it's close to a wash. Never tried Bladeforums.

Go and get the ZDP189 FFG Delica. It's amazing. In real life the Caly finger choil and superior ergonomics it's not so obvious, is not a big deal, and I like alot the fact that Delica has bushings.Plus you can disasamble and lube your Delica.Plus the FRN handle is more friendly and grippy than the Ca...

It was the Chaparral series for me until this summer when I got a Caly 3 CF and I don't know if it's because it's new but it's always in my pocket and it sits on my desk right beside the Chaparral. I still think Chaparral carries better but there's something about Caly that makes it so good.

Washers are phosphor bronze, but I have had no problems with just washing mine in mild soapy water. I use compressed air to help evacuate additional water, then lube and use! Thanks man, did just as you said, but also hit it with the hair dryer to make sure evaporated all the H2O then lubed with a ...

Delica 4 Lightweight Question

Need to clean up my Delica 4 Lightweight in Blue and wondered if it has washers? If so is it ok to just wash it up in some soapy water, blow dry it and then drop some lube around the pivot areas without taking the knife apart? Kind of like I did with my Caly 3 when I first got it because it was so g...

I love all my Spydercos. It's a toss up. I like the size/weight and feel in hand of Chaparral just a little better than Caly but what I like better on Caly is the Carbon Fiber scales, the blade steel, and the amazing smoothness. I like my Southard best to play with, it's so much fun and carries well...

It's blade is already 3.13". Would scaling it down that 1/8" do that much? You're right, What was throwing me off is the cutting edge length to handle length ratio. Overall the Southard and the Domino are just about equal in length but the Southard has so much more cutting edge and that i...

What I would really like to see is a 3" Domino. Different scales can be had on the secondary market already. I hardly ever EDC a knife with a blade length over 3" inches and the Domino would be a perfect EDC at that length. Kind of like the Caly 3 and 3.5.

Mine was a Delica4 FFG in blue. I had recently gotten my ccw permit and was doing some research for my first carry gun and ran into Nutnfancy's channel. So 4 handguns, a shotgun, 3 flashlights, and about a dozen knives later I guess I have him to blame. Right now Anthony over at EverydayCommentary h...

Caly 3.5 for EDC because ergos are incredible, carries nice and deep. I would recommend ZDP-189 version or Super Blue.

Went to a wedding, carried the Caly 3 carbon fiber. After a month or two with this blade it might just be the "if I could only have one Spyderco" knife.
