Re: Maintaining a maintenace-free Siren
So I will try to give a somewhat more comprehensive answer for you. I used to be a beach lifeguard, currently work in a building right on the beach, and take my buddys boat out every month or so. My salts see plenty of salt water. In my experience... Any of the frn salts are pretty much rust proof. ...

I think the serrated aqua salt is in some ways the ultimate evolution of a steak knife.

Re: Over sharpening?
On this forum you just buy a new knife when the one you are using goes dull.
Seriously though, I dont sharpen very often. I am happy with a working edge. As long as its not completely dull, Im good. Stropping works well for me too.

Re: Anyone ever see this on a new Endura 4
That doesnt look very good. None of my enduras, or hap40, or really any of my Seki knives have that.
Must have been on the grinder for an extra little bit. Nothing to do now but use it I guess.

You know, I thought of this the other day. There should be a law for software developers that any content generated by an A.I., whether pictures or a text response or whatever, should be required to have an identifying marker or a checkable thing similar to a time stamp. As far as A.I. goes... I can...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2023 Report
Cool. I cant wait for Sprints and Exclusives of the Military 2 and the Native Chief ltwt. I will definitely get a manbug leaf. Pm2 salt seems interesting. I will probably go for it as my first magnacut knife. Now here is what I am really excited about even though it is speculation. I still luckily s...

The backlock is my favorite locktype, and I think it is a really strong one (that said: I think all lock types Spyderco does are more than strong enough) I think though you are referring to this Blade HQ vid abo...

Re: Stainspots On Vg10
It happens. Vg10 will rust just fine. One of the best spyderco conversations I had in the real world was with a guy in line in front of me at the marina store before taking the boat out. I picked up a cheap stainless steel knife on the counter and was looking at it. He asked me if it was saltwater r...

Honest answer.
From a design point of view, I wish many of their models had a more pronounced forward finger guard on the handle, in terms of your hand slipping forward.
