Re: Which Cru-Wear to buy?

Aargh, you all make good points. Thanks for nothing. ;-) I like the overall Native package. But I agree that it’s hard to argue with the Endela pricing. I must confess that the black coatings get to me slightly… But I probably prefer DLC to TiCN… Anyone care to speculate further on upcoming uncoate...

If you come to this forum asking what to buy, the inevitable answer will be "both of them" or "all of them". This is the way.

Which would you buy? Pinned SPY27 for $118 or pinned M4 for $116.
Both! But, since the Spy27 isn't going anywhere, the M4 would be the one to buy now as you can always pick up the Spy27 later. Must be a sale on the Spy27 since it usually goes for around $165.

Re: Which Cru-Wear to buy?

The G-10 Stretch 2 XL is kinda worth it. If I were to only buy one knife this year, it'd be that one. Yeah, I like it that much. I think the DLT Endela color scheme is cool. I AM kinda hoping DLT also does a non-coated Endela like they did with their previous 20CV Endela exclusives. Yeah, if I hadn...

Re: Which Cru-Wear to buy?

If it's me, then my order of preference would be: 1) Stretch 2 XL CPM CruWear G-10 2) DLT exclusive Endela 3) Knifecenter smooth G-10 Native 5 I find my list amusing as I'm a self-proclaimed "small knife person", and my list is actually largest to smallest. It's nice to be able to laugh a...

Re: Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight

Ladybug, I agree. For me, the price and steel trump all. I do imagine that if this offering were screw construction, we'd be paying considerably more. I don't dislike the idea of screwed construction. But, would probably find myself tempted to disassemble something that I should probably leave alone...

Re: Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight

All this fretting over pinned construction. I have a carbon steel knife I've had for 50 years now, pinned construction as were all knives back then. Still works just as well as it ever did. IMO, its a non-issue except to those who like changing the hardware. I didn't let the pinned construction stop...

Re: Blade HQ Mint Green M4 Manix LW

Got one, too good of a deal with that steel in 2023. I'd probably regret it later if I didn't get one. Looking forward to trying out M4. Exactly! I really wanted to try the LW, and I like steels like M4, Rex 45, and K390. At this price it’s a bugout killer for sure, it’s one of the things I love ab...

Re: Blade HQ Mint Green M4 Manix LW

At this price, how can you not buy one? Yeah. I caved. I really like my Sage M4. Dunno if I'll ever see a Manix for $117 again. I see that BHQ is selling the BD1N LW Manix for $127, so $117 for the exclusive seems a deal with the M4 upgrade. Lol, so did I for the exact same reasons. Way too good a ...

Great steel in a great knife. But my knife money for this part of the year already is spent. Bad timing for the drop.

Thanks, picked up the D2 K390 Wharncliffe for 86.80. That's only 2.90 more than Opfocus with the tax they would have included!
This one is tempting me.

Re: Native 5 frn

I've got more than a handful of N5's. They can be flicked but require considerable effort, effort I'm not willing to expend. But none are so stiff that they can't be easily rolled open with my thumb. I'm still thinking hard of ordering another Rex45 before they are gone.
