Re: Bring Back the Catcherman?

I think your assessment is spot on. Not saying the average fisherman is a cheap bastid, but perhaps the average fisherman should not be Spyderco's targeted demographic in this instance. I'll put a finer point on that... how much does even someone who regularly EDC's a $150 knife want to spend on a ...

Siren in the dish washer?

I've been using my siren quite a bit for food preparation. Recently I brought it along for a fishing outing with my son. Now feel like I need to sterilize it. Is it dishwasher safe? I just used soap and hot water and called it good, but just checking a novel idea. :D

Re: Bring Back the Catcherman?

I picked up a NIB Catcherman on e-bay (black). I will primarily use it and my Siren as steak knives when I go out to eat. For actually filleting fish, a 6" version would make my tackle box shudder with delight.

Re: Yojumbo

Are the scales on the Yojumbo going to be the same material and texture as the Siren?

Re: Tatanka

Another great knife that was ruined by the completely unnecessary finger choil. It makes the blade and grip each 2 inches longer than they need to be. what a shame.

Looking forward to the Yojumbo

Re: Li'l Temperance 3: A (not so) li'l review

5. A note on indexing. There is a step by step instruction with pictures for indexing the lil temp 3 from forward grip to reverse grip out there somewhere. By these instructions, after opening, the thumb is placed on the divot on the lockbar side (front side/show side) and another finger (for me mi...

Re: Yojumbo?

Geez, why all the hate for S30V? It'a a very practical steel. Knife AFI's are a spoiled bunch. Hopefully it doesn't suffer the same fate as the Manix 2 back lock and so many other "base models" that didn't sell because they "only had S30V". It's a first world problem but I do ki...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

Two questions for happy new Watu-owners: ;) - How is the detent of the knife? I am NOT one of those concerned that a comp.lock knife could open in the pocket (my PM2 or Kapara never, ever did) but still it would be interesting to know - Could anyone post a comparison pic of the Watu and a Manix 2 L...

My Watu makes for a great partner to my Ikuchi and and CF Yojimbo 2.
