Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)

Does anyone have any experience with a company called Sherpers? I think I was able to finally get one, but I didn’t get a order confirmation like most companies send out. Thanks to your heads up, I think I managed to score one! I also have no experience with Sherper's, but I did get an order confir...

Re: Military/Manbug power combo!

Small knife / Big Knife combo is a great one. I've yet to try a manbug/lady bug but that's mainly because I want a fancier one. I like fancy tiny knives. I do want a peel ply military to go with my Rhino. It will be a great combo. I totally get the fancy little knife thing, my dad had the coolest f...

Military/Manbug power combo!

I got the recent V-Toku2 sprint Ladybug for my wife as part of her Wedding Anniversary gift, and I decided to get myself the Manbug. My wife loved the Ladybug, probably because it’s adorable and has a great name. I tried to explain how the knife was a sprint and it had fantastic steel, but I stopped...

Re: What's your opinion on customizing your knives?

My favorite Spyderco I own so far is modified. I have a PM2 with the DLT exclusive red scales and a 52100 blade that I put a very dark Patina on. I carry it every day when I get home from work(at work it’s the green 204 Military). It’s nice being able to create my own “sprint”. The green 204 Militar...

Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)

The Rex45 Military is #1 on my list for the rest of 2018. Bummed I missed this one, but I’m going to really hunker down and try to score that Military.

Now add a cultural monkey wrench formula! Imagine how many different cultures we have on the forum...myself included.

I love being a member of this forum and I certainly apologize if I’ve offended anyone with any of my posts...certainly not the intention.

Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)

Maybe they had them “0 in stock” because they had not received their shipment yet, and when the shipment hits, the people who bought will get their orders filled? That’s my wishful thinking for the -28 people who paid for it.

Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)

Got it! Only minor gripes are pinned construction (why not torx screws like the seki salts??) on a corrosion prone steel, and not sure why they did a high mirror polish backlock and blade but a stonewash clip? Would have been really nice with a mirror polished clip. Other than that, fit and finish ...

I can’t help myself. $1000 in five hours??
Yea, that’s pretty normal. $200 an hour billable rate. Computer programming, biohazard technician, underwater welder, headhunter...the list goes on and on and on.

Re: New 20CV Para 2!!!

I’m going to mildly try and get this one, mostly because I’ve lost interest in the ridiculousness of sprints. If I waste 5 hours refreshing web pages in hopes of getting the knife...that’s about $1,000 worth of lost income, not to mention the added frustration of not getting one and seeing it on fl...

Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)

Oso grande knives put up a pre-order for them that just got posted today. I went ahead signed up there just in case I can’t catch one anywhere else. Same here. I don't have too much faith in it though. But since I was considering getting a backup anyway (if I could) I figured why not. I have nothin...

Re: Replacing the love of my life (PM2)

Treat yourself to something special. If you can hold onto a knife for years, get one you will love using everyday. I personally love the PM2. My dream PM2 was the red DLT Sprint, and with help from a new friend, I was able to get one. I own all the options you listed, and my favorite of those option...

Kinda shallow poll here =\

I think a PM2/3/military Salt in LC200N would be really nice and feasible. I think those models with the bright yellow G10 from the salt series would fly off the shelves.
Wow! Never thought of a Salt, that would be soo great! Good one Rutger.
