I have been thinking about getting a Remote Release, but can't decide. Would you choose it over a Calypso Jr.?(my other choice)

Buy as many as you can, but if you can only get one, I've heard a lot of good things about the Calypso Jr.

Bogarden, an almite navigator or an aluminum cricket perhaps? If that is still too big maybe a Ladybug II would be better.

It depends on the size and sharpness of what I am sharpening. When I'm touching up my Delica Ltwt., the stones don't need cleaning until after several times, but when I was sharpening a dull sword with a 30" blade, I had to clean my sharpmaker quite often because the steel kept building up on it.

The mini police necklace or tie clip shouldn't violate even the strictest airport security regulations, but it might be a little small.

I would go with the serrated model, but that's just my preference.

In my opinion, the linerlock's only disadvantage is people who can't figure out how to close it. I have in the past had a bad expierience with liner locks on cheaper knives, but haven't had any problems with the spyderco liner locks I have seen.

VampyreWolf, thanks for responding so quickly. I have seen a few cheap butterfly knives($20), but wanted something more reliable. Oh well, I guess there's always the Balisong.

A.F.C.K. for self defense

What is your opinion on the Benchmade A.F.C.K. for self defense? Normally I wouldn't consider another brand, but I like the size, shape, and looks of it. (it also has the spyderco trademark round hole)

Definitely the Calypso fully serrated. If you're looking for something still in production, maybe an Eduard Bradichansky Shabaria or a JD Smith. All have have Mircata handles though, which may prove a bit slippery as The Stare mentioned. Also, I don't think I would mind using lethal force on a dog, ...

Since you liked the way the Delica cut food, think how muck better a set of Spyderco kitchen cutlery would be!

Not to be rude,Copilotboy, but if your question was for Sal and no one else the why didn't you e-mail him instead of posting it for everyone to see? By the way, give your knife my regards.

Have you considered a Co-Pilot with a stainless steel handle? It should handle most tasks without scaring anyone.

Is Spyderco planning on making butterfly knives?

Will Spyderco make butterfly knives? I'm looking for a butterfly knife and have been considering the Benchmade balisong but I would much rather have a Spyderco. Also, it would be nice to find one in the $70-100 range.

Which one?

I'm having trouble deciding what my next Spyderco will be. I can only get one right now and am trying to keep it under $80. I don't want anything smaller than a Cricket, and have narrowed it down to theese: 1)Native Lightweight (plainedge) 2)Calypso Jr. with stainless handle (plainedge) 3)Cricket wi...
