Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Hey everyone it's been a long time, Having watched all the hype from a distance I think it is time to commentate. I remember early on in my forum days I was ecstatic about my DLC Shaman, but at the time the model was not "well received". For pretty much the reasons people stated here: &quo...

Long Term Maintenance Suggestions?

Hello everyone, Hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday evening. Today I come to the forum to ask: "How do you maintain your knives that see infrequent use". I usually have three, or four knives that see regular and continuous use. The rest sit in a drawer in their respected boxes, and p...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Also, the "throwing" feature of the knife id exactly that. I wanted something with some heft for penetration and is durable enough to withstand such abuse. But as everyone has said, it'll probably have to be a one in a million throw. I wouldn't expect to stop someone completely, but if you...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

I'd much rather have someone attack me with pepper spray than a knife. Criminals won't attack you with a knife unless they want to murder you, they try to intimidate you with it instead. If someone wants to kill you, they won't be coming visibly or giving you any chance of fighting back. Why does a...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Look at the history and role of law enforcement during early union activities, the role of the police in the South during the Civil Rights movement, fast forward to the Chicago DNC riots and excessive police force, to modern police over reactions and deaths of innocent people. They ain't for you fo...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

the idea wasnt bad but i guess i would have to agree with sal a pocket rocket and a few marbles would work decent but i still think you would mostly get their attention turned toward you. running up to them from behind with a knife would be probably would be the most useful way of using a knife on ...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Thank you all for your civil comments, and experience. To clarify my idea, the "throwing feature" would be more of a last ditch effort than an initial response. Being a pocket knife I suppose it wouldn't have the necessary stopping power, but maybe it could have the penetrating power. I ag...

A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekend. I am here in beautiful northern Portugal visiting relatives, and couldn't be happier. With that said the news over here has shown three different mass shootings across the US in less than a week. Without getting too political this post...

Re: Users, Collectors, and Social Media Madness

Great replies all around, and it's mad me reflect on my own experience.. I am definitely in between. I have at least two knives that have never been pocketed, but every other blade sees pocket time but the use varies. I hard use the **** out of my bushcraft for example, but my pm2 gets mostly medium...

Re: The kapara for a millie

I traded the BladeHQ DLC M4, for a Smock (2nd detent removed / included) and 40 bucks. I really liked the military, but I hadn't been using it and the Yojimbo was seeing more pocket time. Now that I got the Smock I can't leave it alone, and back to your topic I've only heard good things about the Ka...

The Tenacious if you're thinking about it but not to serious... and then you'll end up with three more down the road six months later.

Re: Maxamet Paramilitary 2...return of the king!

Did the king really return I feel like the hype is dying down... anyone got more user stories?

I just got a smock in a recent trade and I can't put it down long enough to give Maxamet it's proper due.

Users, Collectors, and Social Media Madness

Hello Everyone, What a time to be a knife consumer / user/ enthusiast, never have I've been presented with so many choices and baffled at how many more there still are. With that said I believe a big factor in the knife consumer phenomenon is the power of social media, and the outreach from manufact...

Re: Spyderco 2019 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

It's always excellent to Eric, and Sal talk about / demo their products. Eric especially is always excited and proud to display what Spyderco has cooking up. With that said, I was hoping to see a new model reveal (like the kapara), or even the return of the fabled "Tanto pm2". Most of what...

Re: Maxamet Paramilitary 2...return of the king!

After reading through the comments, being part of the original hype, and succeeding in securing a pm2 on release I felt compelled to respond. Sidenote: I am excited to see some hard use videos with maxamet... I know the Russians won't let us down. For the people asking: "Is it really worth 200 ...

While I agree with what most have said about "fakes", I personally enjoy that watch because it was a gift from my father and it's definitely high quality.

Re: BladeHQ DLC natural G10 Yojimbo 2

Got this baby in the mail yesterday, and it is my first Yojimbo. This knife means business and melts into your palm to become an extension of your hand. With that said mine too came with an extremely strong detent. I struggled to manually use the Spyderhole with my thumb. I had to use a great deal o...

So.......does anybody know how many in the batch that BHQ had for sale ??
I'd say about 5, or 6 given how quickly they sold out. I really want the Yojimbo 2 dlc so I got to be sure I'm doing absolutely nothing for those first 3 minutes.
