These problems have been around for quite a while. As far as I know, forum administrators are aware of it. Maybe it's an inherent prob with the software.

Jeff

The pivot pin is just barely visible on mine. It looks as if it is sanded/finished flush with the handles during the final finishing process.

Jeff If you have a Dremel tool, you could try one of the cloth buffing wheels with a bit of the dark red "jeweler's rouge". It can be used to polish very soft metals like gold, so it can't possibly hurt stainless steel. If that doesn't do it, you can try one or more of the more aggressive ...

Scorpius I might be proven wrong, but I think Sal might not want to give info like that over the internet. Info like that is generally considered "internal" or "proprietary" and is not likely to be given out. BTW, the Milie is a great knife. I have the 2nd Gen in plain and serrat...

Hi Jeff Glad to hear you got your Police. Mine got it's first real use today cutting up some cardboard boxes. I'd be careful doing any sanding/grinding around the back of the blade in the tang area. That area has to mate very precisely with the rocker bar for a good lockup. Just a suggestion. Let us...

There is a local B&M dealer near me who has one in stock. E-mail me for the info, as I do not know if the moderators will care for commercial "traffic", although the dealer is a Spydie dealer.

Zhang I'm not sure about rust prevention, but it is recommended to heat up the area to be lubricated with a hair dryer before application. The reason for this is that it was developed as a high quality lubricant for semi-auto and auto weapons which develop significant heat in use. Militec gets bette...

Yes, Jeff. Mine has the Boye "dent", which I assume marks it as the current production run. I applied a little Tuf-Glide to the pivot and I "work" the pivot to "break it in" . It's smooth, but just a little tight. I know it will wear in beautifully. Let us know your rea...

The 204 is a snap to learn. I've had mine for a month and a half and I've sharpened just about everything I could get my hands on. There's an excellent video with it that shows Sal demonstrating it's use.

FTK

The G-10(or any other similar material) acts as a washer. The screws thread into the metal. Metal-to-metal frequently requires Loc-tite to avoid the annoying problem of the screws loosening.

Loc-tite will definitely do it. Your situation is common when you have metal to metal contact. Much less common when your screws go through a material like G-10 or wood or carbon fiber, etc. The material acts to "lock up" the screws.

C07S-Police-Initial Impressions

Received my Police SS Serrated yesterday and thought I would share my initial impressions: First, the knife is surprisingly thin. Yet very strong due to the SS handles. Due to the "thiness" it is very easy to carry for a knife of it's size. Even IWB carry is quite comfortable, probably bec...

I forgot to mention--Even if you check out your state law, frequently local counties and cities have their own laws.

It's a very complicated world out there. You might just consider asking a local LEO.

The Stare gave you good advice. Try www.findlaw.com. The only prob is that you have to know the proper section number of your local penal code in order to find the correct info. Make friends with your friendly local atty. . Findlaw is go...

Great to hear the positive reactions to the new Viele. I have the old version w/plain edge and I really like the knife.

I look forward to picking up the new version.

Good luck with it!

Carlos This is becoming a very pressing issue in California. I'm sure you have seen the various threads concerning this .
