Re: Work knife.

Not sure what kind of work you need it for or if you wear gloves, etc. But have you considered a Mainx2? I have both a Native5 cf 110v and a Cru-wear Manix2 and as a work knife the Manix2 wins hands down unless there is an issue with the size...

Re: What makes a knife your "FAVORITE"?

I'm thinking this question is too open. Favourite edc, fav. work knife, hunting, fishing, camping, just plain showing off, etc... I'm going with edc right now. My new Brous Bionic. Probably in part because it's new, mostly because I put a lot of time into thinking about what I NEEDED, and what I WAN...

Re: Farid K2/10V

The last iteration had an ATRish character, but this looks nice as well. Did you change the handle profile at all? No. I left the handle alone. I find it very comfortable in hand, especially while wearing gloves. Also I don't think I'd be able to touch up the finish to match the color and texture a...

Re: Farid K2/10V

Decided to smooth out the spine and rounded the edges down the whole length. Every time I mess with it, I worry that I'll wish I'd left it at the last tweak, but each time I've liked it more. Now I'm debating on acid etching the blade...I'd love to get a picture engraved into the titanium but no one...

Like the knife overall but these tweaks made it a little more user friendly for me.

Re: Show your mods!

Wasn't sure I wanted to mess with it, mostly because of the price of the thing, but for me it has made it so much more useable that it was worth it.

Re: Functional lanyards and fobs.

I've tried using a small lanyard for extra grip on a few knives but always end up taking them off. I just seem to prefer to not use one. I even took the one my CRK came with off. I'll use one to attach a small knife to my keys or even as a dangler for a little multi-tool. If I'm up in an area where ...

Re: Post your Spyderco collection in one picture!

My collection is very modest compared to most on here but I've a nice selection of sizes and steels. Thinking of getting the racing green ZDP189 Dragonfly too... Looks like you prefer quality over quantity :D And i would highly recommend the ZDP DFly, it served me well for 2 years before i broke th...

Got one of these and it's a great pack, comfortable, tough, light, big without being huge if that makes sense. Love the molle too.

Re: Let's come up with Anti-Counterfeiting devices?

I think the biggest problem would be since so many are purchased on Ebay or elsewhere that even with proof, it will be hard to do anything about the counterfeits from being made and sold. Shut down 1 seller, 10 more pop up. I research the sellers I have bought from first, big well known stores and E...

Re: ever brought a spydie......

For me it was my wife's cousin going on about them. I had only seen and held a couple with the exaggerated hole and they just weren't for me. He was adamant on how great they were and said there were some that were more subdued as far as design and the hole. I went on Spyderco's page to check them o...

Re: How would you tweak a Spyderco?

Was playing with my Manix 2 and thinking I'd love to have essentially the same knife but with a stronger tip. Then I thought it would be nice if it had a slightly smaller closed profile. I kept looking at it and well this is what I came up with, (see pic). For my needs a slightly thicker blade stoc...

Re: Help buying a camera, please!

I've got a Samsung nx200, and while it would be over budget it is definitely worth it. 20 megapixels, interchangeable lenses, compact. If the budget is not stretchable Samsung has others that are quite good too. I also own Canon, and Nikon. Can't go wrong with them provided you choose a camera that ...
