The screw looks OK for a G10 Native 5. Will need some non-trivial blade modifications to get the tip back below the scales, but it can be done. You'll have to pardon the oil/finger smudges on the blades.

Diamonds are your friend when it comes to Maxamet. Be a bit careful with the coarse grits, just touch the edge with the scratch pattern, then apex and deburr with the finer grits. Gerber Shard on my Keychain does about anything I'd want for a pocket sized pry tool.

Unless things are going to get very damp, I carry whatever steel I want while hiking without worry.
