It could be that, regardless of your size, the knife indeed looks huge to most people. And in these knee-jerk crazy times, some may find it disconcerting.

For EDC, I wouldn't go bigger than my Delica.

I think the Volpe is also gorgeous. WhyNot called it an F&F knife. That's that mean?

WhyNot's Corner is a dangerous thread. Look at those Kopas...

And the Lava fits the bill too, a totally meaty little knife. A SS PE...

I think the flat-grinds look better. I think if one type of grind was truly better, the other would be removed from the gene pool.

Thread necromancy at its best. :D The scoutmaster didn't retire when I thought he would. Instead, we've spent the last several months concentrating on seeing our remaining boys get their Eagles. The time is on us, however - I need to get back to this. I love the aesthetics of the Kiwi, but ma...

Hi, just checking in.

I'd just like to mention that it's been 4 months or so, and I am liking my Delica 4 more and more every day.

That is all.

Another darned 'help me select a knife' question!

Our boy scout troop's Scoutmaster is retiring, after going above and beyond for a long time. We want to get him something nice. I was thinking a Delica 4. Nice EDC, great size. I have one in my pocket now. But I don't want to get him one just like mine. I'd like to notch it up a little. I have a D4 ...

Assuming he's legit, and he probably is, it sounds to me like someone parsed a spreadsheet incorrectly. Crazy low prices, crazy high numbers, drop-shippers have no inventory so there isn't any pressure to turn specific stock over, the guy responds to emails - he's not hiding... clerical error. That ...

The key to SD is knowing how to avoid bad situations. At the point where you can't avoid a bad situation, you better be prepared for all **** if you pull any weapon. And if you pull it, use it before the aggressor can react. A enthusiastic slice will probably take the fight out of the attacker and a...

Woooohooooo!

Apparently, "In Progress" at TheBladeShop means, " Inbound! " I got my D4 PE FRN today. It came in a Spiderco box in a small USPS box with no additional padding. A rattling package is asking for trouble but whatever. And now for some initial thoughts. /clears throat I'm comparing...

I handled a Native recently and didn't care for it too much. I felt there was only one way to hold it. That being said, comparing a $40 knife to a $60 knife is bogus. $20 may not matter at the $200+ level, but it matters A LOT at the entry level.
