I've got to wonder though; how is it so much cheaper than the Southfork? Not complaining for sure but was definatly expecting close to Southfork priceing on the Sprig.

Definitely a Schrade. Just picked me one up from Wally World! Only 10 bucks and cuts as good or better than any Spyderco!

Now I'd just like to see black coated liners on that particular model to complete the "blacked out" look.

I would say because its not needed (on every model) and would add cost to manufacturing which would increase the price to the consumer.

I understand. It does sharpen well and hold a keen edge for quite a bit for me BUT I do not like the extra maintenance such as cleaning and oiling to avoid corrosion. I can get the same performance from one of several stainless but to each his own. People might end up fighting over availability onc...

I think I may have finally forgiven my K390 mule for cutting me so I'd go for a K390 Paramilitary 2.

I would imagine the reason is white scales would be near impossible to keep clean looking. Not high on my priority list but I know it would bother some. I like the idea myself mostly because it could make for some really cool RIT dye projects.
