Re: Fool me once... well, not even once

A green PM 2 for $50... ? I'll bet I will need to get a number and stand in line... :) And, since my birthday is in November I'll be dropping some hints for a road trip to Golden. It gets crazy and hundreds show up for the sale. I camped out overnight. It is the black friday for Spydie lovers. Well...

Re: Sharpening forum

I don't understand the objection to sharing our enjoyment of a companies product on their forum and don't appreciate it being called content free. Ha if that be the case then 99.999% of the internet is content free! To be honest, GoldenSpydie's and Gbelleh's one-a-day threads are my absolute favori...

Re: Sharpening forum

Brunz, I don't understand the objection to sharing our enjoyment of a companies product on their forum and don't appreciate it being called content free. Aesthetics are a part of knife design too. This can certainly exist along side technical discussions. We all find different things interesting and...

Re: USN exclusive Lady Bug Hawkbill in toxic green/TiCN

I agree.

I don't get it. So it's wrong to join just to get the code but it's ok to use the code without joining. Sounds like selective morality to me. The USN is a great forum so I don't get it. Oh well.

Re: S110V Manix 2 Progression in Performance.

^ This. I didn't mean to make you worry. I meant that it had to be in a state where is was perpetually wet to get a very light film of rust. I have left the blade out overnight with food all over it and not had any rusting or staining of any kind on the blade. I use it to trim meat often and have go...

Re: Fool me once... well, not even once

Definitely hit up the seconds sale. I did very well at it. Otherwise shop at one of the dealers already mentioned in this thread. I shop at just a few and they have the lowest prices you are gonna find anywhere. I stop into the SFO very often to fondle the newest knives and then usually just buy it ...

Super cool. I wonder what the post was or who made it?

Reminds me of the one millionth shopper type contests stores do. :)

The pins should be fine. Just keep the knife oiled up. I wouldn't take it apart.

Re: S110V Manix 2 Progression in Performance.

I use an S110v Mule with halpern scales in the kitchen all the time. I have never had any rusting on the blade itself but upon removal of the scales I have found that some very light rusting has occurred due to moisture being trapped underneath the scales. I was able to wipe most of it off and just ...

claqueur: noun

a person hired to applaud an act or performer.

the conspiracy does in fact run deep and now you have found us all out. we are shills in exchange for free knives. this word implies we are on spyderco's payroll. :D

Re: Sharpening forum

in my view Spyderco's forum is special for high level background and expertise from contributors like Cliff, who are the rare and valuable salt in a otherwise lukewarm PR soup. Without them - this forum will sink to the usual low-level fanboy sites of a company who's claqueurs show to kind of thems...

Re: Sharpening forum

I think we SHOULD be able to find a way to work through our differences without creating a new forum for someone who already has their own forum.
