Re: k390 serrated discontinued?

No problem with SE k390 here either. The discounts on the discontinued are so good I ended up with one of each and two Police. It takes time to reprofile, so far I’ve only completed a Delica, but it’s so nice. I'm *thiiiiiis* close to grabbing a second serrated police. So good See if this can push ...

Re: Upping the price.

Great point on the relative price factor of aftermarket clips. It isn't just the price but also extra steps and time spent; something ready for you versus a "project knife". For me, Spyderco's deep-carry wire clip is good to go but otherwise, I've got to think about all of that (plus the ...

I would love one too but it’s a difficult market for Spyderco to be competitive in.
The fact I can get an 18” Tramontina WITH sheath for $20 from Lowe’s supports this statement.

Re: Police PIG

Using the eBay “sold” search, I found one that fetched $950 4 days ago. It’s going to be quite the niche market for a collectors piece 35 year old knife in that price range. That seems like an exceptional price but depending on condition, it still comes down to whatever someone’s willing to pay.

Re: Need info about this knife.

That’s a beauty. Taken from Krein’s website: “ Thank you for your interest in my work. My books are currently closed. I have several years of orders currently and am working on getting them squared away.” If I had to guess, Krein probably tapped the tip up clip holes in addition to the grind. So yea...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Got the email from Dack saying they couldn’t honor the price for the Stretch 2XL Salt I ordered. No biggie as I already have one in VG-10, but this is the first time they’ve not been able to deliver for me. The Military 2 I ordered made it though so they’re still good to go so long as you’re not dea...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

https://i.imgur.com/4GLSNIG.jpeg Ordered Monday from Dack at 49% off 2023 prices; arrived yesterday. Holey-Moley what a knife! I wasn’t sold on the compression lock for this generation but man, I’m a fan now. Side-by-side with the Military 1 I realize how much I was feeling the cutout for the liner...

I’ve just had an email from DACK with up to 48% off Spyderco for the next 24hrs. Here’s the link for any of you lucky enough to live in a country they deliver to 👍🏻 (I’m not in that boat unfortunately ☹️) https://dackoutdoors.lt.acemlnc.com/Prod/link-tracker?redirectUrl=aHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZkYWNrb3V0...

Hi Halfneck,

More than likely will do the entire Endura "family" in SPY27, in time.

Sign me up for a Delica and if I could put in a request: polished clips like the S30V sprints would be great.

Re: Looking for thoughts on Caly 3.5 vs. GB2

In the spirit of this forum I’m going to recommend a different knife — does the Native not work due to lack of liners? It checks all you boxes except that one. It’s plenty “stout.” No flex on that knife. The Knifecenter exclusive Cruwear is a very nice knife.https://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP41GPCW...

I’m also from Tennessee and really do love the Cutlery Shoppe orange — they nailed it. A fully serrated XHP Military 2 would be something I’m ordering immediately.

Re: Your Ideal Folder for Hiking & Backpacking is....

I could definitely see a serrated Salt being ideal for through hiking the PCT, AT, whatnot… keep a small ceramic stone on hand to keep the edge crisp and I’d never need another knife. Now for actual bushcrafting in areas with limited trail improvements and no campsites you can’t replace a nice solid...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!

Finally, a word of advice: if you are new at disassembling Seki City knives (like me), maybe just maintain it without disassembly. Posted elsewhere about a Police I changed scales on a couple days ago. Even with some Seki-City disassembly experience I still found it a bit difficult putting that thi...
