The blacked out liners are a nice touch. Congratulations! That’s a beautiful knife…I love the colors...

Re: Mirror polished edges - Which steels are better (and worst) for taking them?
I like clean push cutting blades so I've taken a good number of steels to a polished edge. Surprisingly I've found Maxamet and PMA 11 (similar to 10V) take great polished edges. https://i.imgur.com/DEUaypA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Sy5Zzf5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Wq73LLG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vAxxU...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe LynchNW edition wharncliffe PM2 Exclusive
This is really not as mysterious as some of you think. CS offered the wharncliffe PM2 as their exclusive. They held a few back so they could have Casey Lynch whip up a batch of his hard anodized aluminum scales, this time in orange, and offer a 100 or so (no idea on the number) in this configuratio...

Can someone explain to the slow among you how this works? Are these sourced an then sent to another company for the scales?

Make sure you give him an intro to Maxamet, too. I’ve found it to be a great steel, but you gotta know how to drive it, so to speak.

Re: MAXAMET as a BD present. Which to pick up, P3 or PM2?
I have both and I find the PM2 in my pocket more than the PM3. However...I have large hands and think the PM2 is already a small knife. I think it depends where your dad is coming from in his knife carry and the size he’s used to.

Re: Full SE versus combo edge?!
If you want the capabilities of SE, I say you go all SE not CE. I quickly transitioned to PE or SE on all my knives, as I find CE a great compromise without a real upside.

Re: Cutleryshoppe Exclusive Shaman, Stonewash CTS-XHP, Orange G10
Got mine yesterday…they did an excellent job on this release. Perfect centering, stonewashed finish is awesome along with the matching clip and spacer. Great edge from Golden, too. I love the G10 color, quite vibrant.
Love these Shaman exclusives. Thanks to Cutlery Shoppe and Spyderco do doing this.

Re: K390 Lovers!!! Serrated K390 Jumpmaster 2?
I left this on my K390 thread, but for continuity sake: I’d selfishly like a jumpmaster 1 in the sheepsfoot…but I’m curious either way what this steel would look like after riding in a sheath and getting exposed to water regularly. This is the have your cake and eat it too premise…edge retention of ...
