Re: Spydiechef or slys bowie
They are both great knives, but the fit and finish on the Bowie is in a whole different league. The contoured stonewashed handles, rounded spine, and the ergos make the knife just feel awesome in hand and in use. The action and lockup also feels much more refined IMO. It's one of my favorite knives....

Re: First Knife of 2018
Just keeping it clean works pretty well for me. Some people leave a light coat I'd oil or Vaseline on the blade to protect it from staining.xxbioxx wrote:Hello. I bought my first knife in 2018. It’s mantra. Anybody can help me how can I protect the m4 blade? Thank you

Wishful thinking. We need an M4 Native5 and I think the the odds are good that BHQ will eventually do it.bh49 wrote:Did BHQ announced M4 Native or this is wishful thinking. Re: First Knife of 2018
Technically my first knife of 2018 was a BK7, but my first Spydie is this beautiful PITS. Lighter and a little smaller than I imagined, but the ergos are incredible. This knife looks, feels, and handles like a dream. Very thin behind the edge, and the "lock" inspires a different kind of c...

Re: C41GP5 native 5 g10 without liners?
If this is true, I'm very happy with this change (though a new model number seems appropriate?). I've thinned out my G10 Native5s with liners to just the CF s110v sprint at this point, much preferring the linerless models. My condolences to liner fans. When the BHQ Jade M4 version finally drops (fin...

Re: First Knife of 2018
I had gifted myself my first Spyderco this xmas, the PM2. Though I really appreciate the design and function, I find myself targeting designs with blades 3” or less. Fast forward a few weeks now, and I’ve added a few more pairs! I’ve enjoyed exploring the different models and steels out there, but ...

Re: 1st dragonfly 2
I'd say the current ZDP189 version is just about perfect for the platform. It cuts forever and the BRG color is tasteful IMO. My orange VG10 was my gateway drug, but if I had to pick one...

Re: Delica hap40 pakkawood or vtoku2?
The Pakkawood has crept into my rotation as an office go to, becoming one of my most carried knives of the last few months. I have four other Delica4s and none of them have seen the pocket time this one has. HAP40 has been a pleasure, and this knife just looks and feels special. Gratuitous back spac...

Re: The Delica 4: Timeless Classic or Long in the Tooth?
The handle has never quite worked for me, so I like the idea of a Delica5. However, since I learned how to hold the knife further back and use it lightly, it's been less of an issue. The Pakkawood got a lot of pocket time last year and continues to be my office go to. Not sure why as it doesn't fit ...

Re: Urban K390
It's a great little knife, and definitely a nice alternative to the DF2. Though, I know I'm not the only one that would like to see more K390 locking folders. This steel has moved to the top of my wish list. How is the steel holding up from a corrosion point of view? I used to live in Boston and th...

Re: Any plans for a standard-sized Compression Lock Native?
I agree that it would be nice, but I'd actually prefer a 2.5" or 3" CBBL Native/"Lil'Manix" instead. +1 for Lil' Manix :D This has been a theme for a while. I am thinking that an FRN CBBL Sage is a definite possibility. After owning the Shaboy I'm pretty sure I'm going to like t...
