Re: The negative blade angle wharncliffe that I wish existed
That's a great design. I could totally see this being made and called the Wharlock or or Pterodactyl. I really like the thought that went into the design, especially the closed profile. It looks amazing, its a shame Spyderco is rather uninterested in it, because I think it would be a great fit in th...

Re: Spidiechef XL?
I think a more capable folding kitchen knife would be cool. Between 5 and 6 inches is what I'd love to see, something that's sharpened all the way to the heel like the Parata, but that you can cut flat to a cutting board with. I'd really like to see it in a bit less expensive of a handle though so i...

Re: Bow River distributor exclusive
I'm a little offended that the Bow River saw a screw construction update before the Manix LW did

Re: Recs for Self Defense while running/biking?
I mountain bike pretty often, and I do so fairly aggressively (always trying to beat my best time) so I work up a good sweat. I carry a serrated Pacific Salt inside the waisteband of my soft athletic pants and it works perfectly. Its so light that I seriously forget its there, its out of the way on ...

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS
Yeah, the not being able to combine knives for free shipping sucks. That’s why I passed on the K390 Endura. It’ll likely seriously limit how many knives I’ll buy, because I am not gonna be buying one knife at a time at $13 shipping a pop. I’m fine with that though, cause it’ll just save me money ove...

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS
Man, that K390 Endura is soooooo tempting, but there is nothing else I want at the same time, and I hate to pay $13 on one knife, just to buy more later. I can’t believe it, but I think I’m passing on it.

Re: Swick redesign
I carry my Ka-Bar TDI Hinderance weakside IWB at about 10:00, not quite appendix. That keeps it concealed within the natural curves of my body (ooh la la) while still allowing me to bend over without the handle jabbing me in the stomach and not becoming more pronounced as it would if I were to bend ...

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS
I've been trying for almost 3 hours now and I still haven't gotten past the cart page. Definitely frustrating, not Spydercos fault though. I just hope there are still some plain black Native LWs around when the next batch drops, and that the website will be functional enough to buy something.

That Chefs knife is the only thing I have in my cart right now, but it’s to the point that absolutely nothing is loading. I’ve been here since it kicked off. I have to get back to work lol

Re: 2020 Seconds Sale - BREAKING NEWS
Man, I am having no luck with my phone or my work tablet. I can periodically load the page, but whenever I try to add anything to the cart it just says its loading forever, finally refreshes and nothings in the cart. I'll have to check back in a while to see if traffic has slowed.

Re: Evolving tastes over time?
My knife taste has grown... literally. I started regularly carrying a knife when I got a little 2.25" bladed Kershaw Cathode. I then saw the benefits of carrying a pocket knife, but was really only interested in little knives around that size, the Delica was about the biggest I considered. I go...

Re: Seconds Sale, what are you hoping to snag?
I was really hoping to get a 20CV Manix G10, but in Spyderco’s FAQ video they said exclusives will not be part of this seconds sale :( that leaves me hoping to find a nice Manix sprint, I want one with some kind of fancy stainless or CruWear. I’m hoping to snag that and a SPY27 Manix LW if they alre...

Re: After 11 months my missing Dfly Hap40 has shown up!
I once lost my Dragonfly Salt for all of December until I remembered I made a Christmas ornament out of it and hung it on the tree :o My wife just pulled 50 BMG cartridge I had been missing for a long time out of one of the Christmas bins as we were setting up the tree the other day. I had also mad...

Re: Why the hate of Zome?
Instead of splotches, why not make the pommel end solid colored and then fade out into the handle color towards the middle? Another pattern that could look cool depending on the colors is a sort of tiger stripe. I do think different patterns could be cool, I am not sure how they would manage that i...

Why the hate of Zome?
I've noticed across multiple platforms that whenever a Zome model is mentioned, so many people complain about it in some way. Some wish it were just a solid color, some say they don't think it'll sell well because of the coloring, and some even say that anything done in Zome is an immediate pass by ...

Re: Left handed PM2
If a compression lock was really all that great in the wrong hand, you'd see right handed people clamoring over themselves to buy up all the left-handed knives. And then Spyderco would focus production on left-handed knives, but they'd relabel them as right-handed. But that doesn't happen because i...

Re: Left handed PM2
I’m not left handed, but I will say the compression lock is so great used the way it was designed to be used. Trying to use the compression lock with my left hand is not great, and I feel can be actually dangerous because using your thumb on the tab means that’s your only purchase on that side of th...
