I see that you're including a Native 5 in S35VN as one of your possible choices. If you can live with a Native in S30VN, Amazon has them for $50 with free shipping. Just something to consider. I ordered one yesterday as it's easily the best price I've seen for that model. The Native 5 does have the...

I have the Para 2 S30VN, and would recommend it without reservations. Don't have any of the others. I do have the Gayle Bradley that Jack recommends. It is without a doubt the best knife in the world for a little more than $100. Bert Thanks Bert. I have one Para 2. It's a knife I fell in love with ...

Earth Brown Para 2, but let me add to your indecision by saying that if you happen to like Blue G10 and can swing a little more cash, you should also check out the M390 Para 2 that's on deck from Bento Box Shop. http://www.bentoboxshop.com/images/PE_Blue_Paramilitary2.jpg Thank you. Blue is definit...

The Para2 DLC. 1st, it's a Para2, which is one of the best production folders of all time. 2nd, the DLC takes it to a whole new level in aesthetics. And, 3rd, S30v isn't a bad steel by any stretch. I'd like to see the brown G-1- coming up, because if its' the same color as the XHP Milli it will 'lo...

Oh wait. I just re-read your post and now think your list is a list of suggestions. I was thinking it was a list of what you already have. I'll still stand by my suggestions because I don't have any of the knives you listed so am unqualified to comment on them. Well, except I know they are great ch...

Help me to decide which knife to buy next

1. Para 2 DLC black S30VN 2. Native 5 S35VN 3. Para 2 S35VN brown handles sprint run 3. Caly 3.5 Help me decide on my next purchase. It would help if you can single out one knife (I know it's tough) from above list and tell me something good about it in ur reply, specially if you own it. Thank you i...

Good info Evil D. Must admit I was avoiding the black blade since I am not a fan of Teflon coated blades. Was going to look it up and glad I saw ur post.

I am seriously thinking of getting another Para 2, now it will be thinking about one with DLC.

Inertia opening is technique and speed/strength more than knife. I could hardly do a Manix2 at first and now my Cento3 is doable. Even with an easy knife it's not guaranteed or faster than a good thumb open, IMO. Good to know. Getting the hang of this kinda opening with the Endura and Para2. Had an...

I would love to order the Para2 with S35VN but Earth Brown is not my color. I guess that only leaves the Native5.

It's not the Spydie drop.

I can't seem to do so on Para2 or Endura4. What's the movement angle that you use and where do you hold the handle at?

I must try that.

Any one know of any models that can be opened using induced momentum? Just using the weight of the blade to open the knife by flicking your wrist or hand whilst holding the handle. No, I am not talking about the balisong knife opening.

I think I prefer for new versions to come out. It makes the older versions much much more special and gives us something new to look forward to. I must apologize on this but I am not a fan of liner locks (and gee wiz, I am stating this on a thread dedicated to a knife sporting one) and cant wait to ...

It's okay Blerv. I understand your point and true, I should have toned it down a lot more by saying whats your preferred way to open your Spyderco.

I am in the group of users who use what they buy. Para2 at USD 109 is the most expensive one thus far.

By "deploy" is the intent speed or defense purposes? It sounds like the intent of this thread is asking our general way of opening a knife from the pocket. If that's the case the standard heated thread on defense speed might not even be necessary. My aim was to understand better how every...
