thank you unit . No offense taken. Cool. I wish you were around central Missouri, I love sharpening and would be happy to try and help. I am confident it is something fairly simple and sooner or later you will have that "ah ha" moment and figure out what is stumping you. Some knives have ...

I am afraid that the only cure(s) will be to either: -send back Always a reasonable option with wonderful results -Professional custom reprofile/sharpening Also a reasonable option that should have good results -different steel(this is my first experience with VG-10 ) This is not a great option in ...

Ti Millie...Great knife I am glad to own but I prefer my G-10 models due to their lighter weight, better grip, and as far as my use is concerned, they are just as strong.

I recently had an issue with a large seller who has received some negative attention here in the past. I bet I know the dealer you are talking about. I had a similar issue. In my case a single set of photos on one knife was used to sell many knives (some large dealers state that is is impossible fo...

Well, that is a tough one. No one can guarantee you much of anything regarding fakes, seconds, or misrepresented blades in online auctions...many here "police" the suspicions looking ones, but it would be hard to keep up with them all. Some of the bigger dealers are mostly reputable, but i...

Request!

what's the hardest use folder that spyderco produces? or the one that can take the most abuse? As an interesting follow up question for those that have weighed in... What are you envisioning as "hard use" and "abuse" as you formulate your conclusions? I can answer the original q...

24 hours later...developing some conclusions already.... Allow me to preface the following with some disclaimers. I have used this knife as hard as I would use my Military. In fact I would have to admit that I would never walk around cutting silly things simply for the purpose of stressing my Milita...

Unit, welcome, and please some pictures when you can. Used spyders are a beautifull thing to behold... :) JaM You bet. Actually, I am working on a video, but I want to gather some more use data so that it is not just another video clip of a hand playing with knives. So far I am pretty fond of the b...

I just wish they had liners and screw construction. My Salt 1 has a ton of blade play and I can't tighten the pivot. It'll happen over time. I didn't even put mine to hard use. I hear that, and I am on the fence as to how big of an issue it will be for me. I really like the result of no liners and ...

A picky review -- Salt folders -- Updated review

Yesterday was sort of crazy for me, but it ended well! I met with my dealer at a social gathering and he delivered a couple Salts I had on order. Yippie! I left the box sealed til I got home. I had a lot of thoughts buzzing as I began to open. Will I like these at all ? So far my collection only has...

Are the UF rods worth it? I have changed my mind on this one. I got them and immediately disliked them as they seemed like a tiny step finer than the regular white fine rods. As I have become more of a sharpening nut I have come full circle and I have even allowed my strop to go unused for a long t...
