Is that the base of Mt Adams in the background?
Yes! The picture was taken from Takhlakh lake. Here's another taken from Takhlakh in early Summer.

Re: Obscure But Yet Extremely Cool Past Models

The rarely seen Impala by Ed Scott is a cool design and so is the Ocelot by Tim Wegener. Both have jimping toward the tip of the blade to allow for better traction when your pointer finger is resting on the spine. The Impala also comes with a version that has a gut-hook where the forward jimping is ...

I agree with whoever it was that said we need pictures. I'll try to help: Here's a sprint run Zowada from 2010.

Re: Let's see your very first Spyderco (or at least the one you've had the longest)

My first was the C13GBW Blanchard Lone Wolf Pro-Venator. It was given to me in the mid-90s by my girlfriend at the time. I refused to carry it because it was too nice so the C13PS was acquired shortly after receiving the Blanchard. I still have the knives and my girlfriend became and still is my wif...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..

I've done a couple: The first was a Tasman Salt. I experimented with some hot glue to create a pattern that didn't turn out as well as I had hoped but it still looks ok. https://i.imgur.com/Bpa5PNF.jpg The second was a Pink Delica which had already undergone a blade swap. I really like how this one ...

Re: Wedding Spydie

Have you looked on the Sooner State Knives page? They usually have some of the hard to find models at acceptable prices. I have bought from them without any problems. Try looking in the "other models" or "discontinued" categories.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

The slippery and uncluttered Protech Malibu.malibu 05.jpg They'd be so, so perfect with just a little bit more texture to the scales.. even if it were just like a minimal Benchmade 940 type finish on the aluminum. I've never actually dropped mine or anything, but it's always a thought in the back o...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought

Technically, this is not a new gun. It's an old gun with a makeover. The new grip module is from Wilson Combat, and the trigger is Armory Craft. I was a little concerned about taking apart the Fire Control Unit, but there were a couple YouTube videos. I'm really glad I watched them. A relatively si...

Yikes! He knew it wasn't like new but hopefully, you can clean it up and get a partial refund. As mentioned above, I'd try some fine steel wool and oil to remove the rust.
