Of course a thread like this is doing to bring me out of hiding... I learned cursive in grade 3, some 20 years ago. I resorted back to printing in grade 5 or 6, given the option... but I blame that on being fully ambidextrous in a right handed world. It's also about the time I went from a fountain p...

You forgot to add "and the means to make enough of a shelter to ensure you stay dry, though dry and warm is preferred." there. Remember the rule of 3... 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food... you're better off having means to treat water than a day's worth of ...

I still say the funniest was one of the ones I did rather than what I saw... I worked at a BurgerKing within throwing distance of a McD's. Separated with an access road into the parking lot and a couple rows of cars.... Well, they were redoing the parking lot for the mall so there were pylons laying...

I'm not going to add up what's in my 24hr bag (comfortable 24hrs, out to a workable 72), or my daily bag (my "get home" or rather "I don't have to get home for a day" bag)... both are quite pricy. I've spent some time outdoors, and have a fairly good understanding of what I need ...

Not sure how many vegetarians this forum has. Personally I changed most of my meals over about 4 years ag...

Love the hot foods, great way to warm up when it's -40c outside. Usually pick up a dozen thai (bird's eye) peppers at 100-150k, to get through a week. Couple of them in a pot of rice noodles sure liven things up. Great when it's +30c out and you can still break out in a sweat indoors. I'm not crazy ...

The spoon fed brand was what gave me my love for leatherman. I managed to break a couple of thier multitools when I was in manual labour 9 years ago, and another one from them is likely still out in the bush where it landed after the pivot broke 11 years ago. That said, I had picked up a couple more...

Try to enjoy where you are, what you have, and what you are doing today over what you think you want in the future . Don't let others walk over you and don't do it to others. You're your own man and you can say "No" without being mean. While you can have an opinion on everything, you don'...
