today my jester and my BM 710 (my newest folder=))

I have a couple BM knives with it and no problems at all. It defintly comes in certian batches from what i can tell. Ive read on blade forums that earlier batches of knives seem to have the problem more frequently. Havent seen too much problems on the BM forums recently but i could be wrong hehe

Id like to buy local but im not willing to pay over double price for the same product. I dont have a problem paying a little more since you get to handle the product but double is extreme. Secondly, I often find local stores have little experience with their products. Just the other day i was going ...

thanks for the explanation STR. Im one of those guys that get really annoyed with things such as blade play but i guess ill have to live with it=P

hey guys, my caly 3 has some vertical blade play...it moves a little bit up when i push down on the blade. Just wondering if this is relativly common and if there is any way to fix it. Thanks in advance=)

I live in victoria BC, and have not run into this kind of problem. Possibly it is because of the raising crime rate in toronto, but i really dont understand it to be honest.

if customs checks it nowaday, they throw a tie on it (which is one **** of a pain in the *** to cut off=P)

heh, useful post. I must admit though that the only useful knife is a knife you use :D

i got a ss CE delica. I find it to be a useful knife for gardening work etc. Got it for 25 bucks off the bay so I have to say im very impressed with my purchase. If i got a new delica though, id get a PE (which i have on my zdp del =))

John G, from my experience, BG 42 seems to be harder than s30v but seems to hold an edge better. It is difficult to sharpen. Apparently its also a very tough steel to use for knives and hence is pretty rare=)

i really like the look of the mili but like yourself i hate the lock. I have one knife with a liner lock, and thats enough for me =)
