Does it look anything like this? This is one of the first generation Delicas.

On some of the FRN models, the model name is molded into the non-clip side of the scales.

I think they already do. It's called the Stretch.

The Stretch is in my top ten favorite Spydies. It has been my main EDC for quite a while. I think it is a nice balance of a big enough blade to get the job done, but not so big that it freaks people out. I think the CF version is a very classy looking knife also.

I know what you mean about trying to find some of the older models on the secondary market. I have been looking for a large Calypso and a PE Jr for a while now.
They don't come up for sale often and when they do, the prices are more than I can/want to pay.

I would have to say that the Almite Walker has to be one of the smoothest opening Spydies that I have. The Viele and Zowada are also up there. The Lum folding tanto has a very distinct "thunk" when opening. I think that most of them were in ATS-55, this one is VG-10.

I have one of those. It's a very nice knife, light and probably one of the smoothes Spydies that I own.

The Vesuvius is the model name, it was designed by Frank Centofante. The Centofante 3 is basically a Vesuvius with a back lock insted of the compresion lock.
