Does anyone here remember what the MSRP on the Blue Spyderhawk forum model was?

TIA

X3, if it is, as you say, almost imperceptible, it's not worth the time and hassle to send it back. Use it, sharpen it, repeat.

Got to agree with you on that one, it is the one Spyderco kitchen knife not in my collection.

Does it look anything like this? This is one of the first generation Delicas.

On some of the FRN models, the model name is molded into the non-clip side of the scales.

The Stretch is in my top ten favorite Spydies. It has been my main EDC for quite a while. I think it is a nice balance of a big enough blade to get the job done, but not so big that it freaks people out. I think the CF version is a very classy looking knife also.

I have one and the lock is "sticky" upon un-locking. I was lucky enough to get one that was one number off of the regular version I have. http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/Bruceter/Sales%20pictures/DSC01457.jpg http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/Bruceter/Sales%20pictures/DSC01...

I have to concur with Mr. Blonde here. I've used several cheaper sets of Torx drives and they all end up rounded off, cammed out, and relegated to the beater tool box. Several years ago, I bought several Wiha Torx drivers and have never regretted spending the extra dollars on a quality tool. Their ...

The mouse has seen some pocket time, it doesn't get carried much these days though. I think that the only one of the knives pictured that I have not carried is the baby Godard. It is the only Spydie that I have that I cannot open one handed. Something about the size and the position of the hole, I j...

I know what you mean about trying to find some of the older models on the secondary market. I have been looking for a large Calypso and a PE Jr for a while now.
They don't come up for sale often and when they do, the prices are more than I can/want to pay.

Thanks,

I would have to say that the Almite Walker has to be one of the smoothest opening Spydies that I have. The Viele and Zowada are also up there. The Lum folding tanto has a very distinct "thunk" when opening. I think that most of them were in ATS-55, this one is VG-10.

Golden age of Spyderco

So, JD's top ten thread got me thinking about his comments on the golden age of Spyderco's. I had my camera out taking a couple of pics for that thread and thought I would take one of what I think (of the knives in my collection) represent this era. http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/Bruceter/...

Certainly there were more than 1200 of C42 made. There are two variants: original- closed back/AUS8 steel and open back/VG10. It looks like latest is catching a little more cash and of cause PE is more expensive. I sold mine NIB C42S AUS8 few month ago on BF for $140 shipped. Nice knife. I still ha...

I have a few of these also. I think I may have added a couple to the collection since I took the pictures. http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/Bruceter/Knife%20pics/DSC08241.jpg Thought it would look cool if I put the knife next to the pin for this pic. http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac136/...

The Vesuvius is the model name, it was designed by Frank Centofante. The Centofante 3 is basically a Vesuvius with a back lock insted of the compresion lock.
