I never liked it much, small knife funny lock back & Aus 6 steel. But they are on the discontinued SFO list for $22.95, I think that's a bargain for everyone to be able to afford a Spyderco :)

A knife should be used , as a Spyderco collector I have a hard time not carrying a knife I really like. Example is the Kopa, this is a beautiful, functional knife and has been a daily carry for a few weeks now. I have many Spyderco knives and probably will reduce their collector value by using them...

Tip Down, works for me. Probably because my first Spyderco knives were tip down. I also feel tip down is a safer carry.

Me too! It is a real attractive knife, I received mine 2 days ago from SFO.
It has been my daily carry, I guess I will have to purchase another just to keep my Collector #047 in near new condition Check out the specs on this site. :) :)

I agree with SPYDERKNUT, use a fixed blade for sanitary reasons. Take a look at the Vagabond FB12 for steak knife type applications. not expensive either The Spyderco Vagabond is designed for the wanderer. If you backpack, camp or picnic, chances are you've at some point needed a lightweight fixed-b...

This year it is the Native II FRN with CPMS30V steel, 80% serrated with the tip plain edge. This knife works for my knife needs and stays sharp a long time, major use is cutting open boxes and opening envelopes. :)

My Civilian also scares me every time I take it out of the pouch. I thank God I do not live in an area where I have to carry it for protection. It is for my collection, but at times I think I should give it to my California Highway Patrol officer friend who would carry it for a backup. I do show it ...
