Topic: Why purchase a knife and not use it.

As many others have stated, I just have too many to use each one, so many sit unused. I also like the fact that I get used to the feel of my EDC and opening it becomes habit - I don't even have to think about it - it just seems to happen. If I kept changing EDCs that wouldn't happen.

I do! I currently have 10 Natives, including my EDC which is a blue G-10 BladeForums Native PE. I'm sure the number of Natives in my collection will continue to grow.

Neomik I haven't used mine yet (waiting for the snow to melt) but my first impression of the Bushcraft is that it is a great looking and great feeling knife. It fits my hand very comfortably and has the "heft" that I like for an outdoor knife that may be chopping some small tree limbs etc....

First, since I haven't done it already, welcome to the Spyderco Forum. I own 10 Natives, so far. I bought my first Native (a PE lightweight) 10 years ago. My main edc for the past 9 years has been a blue G-10 BladeForums Native PE. Although It may not be for everyone, I love the design. With the new...

Going way back... Erik Remmen used to (perhaps still does) teach a "Clip-it Course" using Delicas or Enduras for self-defense. Part of his philosophy was to carry the same knife on both the left and right side of the body to ensure access. (this was before ambidxterous clips so the knives ...

Hope you have a speedy and complete recovery.

I underwent the the same procedure just over 4 years ago so I can certainly sympathize!

You have to take this as the warning that it is and take good care of yourself.

All the best!

For years I had 2 EDC knives - a Buck 110 Folding Hunter and a Buck 119 Special. I worked outdoors (thats why the nickname "4 s ter"). They were used for any knife requirement from simple food prep to opening cans to some light hammering. The were sharpened regularly on a fine Washita tran...
