Spyderco Heinnie Haynes UK Penknife G10 back into stock

I received 5 minutes ago an email from HH informing me that the HH UKPK G10 Exclusive is back into stock (at $ 122.86 / EUR 105.13) So if any of you are interested, hurry up! As the email said, "🚀 Be quick! 🚀 You’re one of several people who are receiving these reminders. We’re sending them out...

Re: What’s wrong with this knife?

What's wrong? The blade shape.

If it was drop point it would be perfect. I have this one but had to buy the drop point CTS-BD1N version as well because that is the blade shape I like the most. Perfection for me would be drop point + S110V.

Re: How can people do it?

Since I LOVE sharpening, having brothers like yours would be a blessing for me :D I am not against abusing knives that way at all. I try not to forget that knives are just pieces of steel with a handle meant to be tools. They are sharpened, used/abused and resharpened again (with the joy that it pro...

Re: Cliff Stamp has passed away

When I joined the forum it appears that Cliff was no longer participating and I did not have a chance to meet him, but from what I have read in the condolence messages it is evident that he was a great guy. Rest in peace.

Re: Patu ethnic series knife?

Not for me. As a user it seems like a simple club to me and I have some that fulfill that function perfectly for a twentieth of what a Patu Spyderco would cost. And as a collector's item I find it .... how to say it? .... ugly. However, if Spyderco decides to start with the club-like knives (wood or...

If you are not skilled, the solution is a guided system (Lansky, KME, etc)

Look at the edge that even a clumsy like me can get ... :o :D

Re: New to Spyderco

Wellcome, BigJoe! Consider the type of lock that you like. Two models have been already mentioned and I will add a third one: If you prefer lockbacks, Delica 4 (with an aftermarket Lynch NW or MXG deep carry clip). If you prefer compression locks, Para 3 LW (it already mounts a deep carry clip). If ...

Re: Kapara

I endorse all your words but the Kapara, for me, is one small step from perfection. I would like the deep carry clip to allow a slightly deeper carry so that when it goes in the pocket the knife would disappear from view and only the clip would be seen. In the case of a wire clip, this could be done...

It is a spectacular piece. If you ever consider selling it (or even giving it away  ;) :D ) PM me, please.

Re: Are We Spyder-Heads In the Blade Steel Minority?

Everything you just stated in "Spot On". And the more I think about your post it pretty much describes this group of fans and afficionados here at Spyderville precisely. Just yesterday an old friend noticed me using my C-60 Ayoob to open a package with. He immediately wanted to look at th...

Re: Increase in Exclusives?

The only European dealer which, to the best of my knowledge, has ordered an Exclusive is HH. And reading in this forum what is happening with its HH Exclusive UKPK I do not think they will be inclined to repeat the experience in the future with another model. I am not blaming Spyderco because I have...

Re: Spydies for good causes?

Hi Menipo, I think it's a good idea, but probably not one that I would do. I have a really limited amount of time. The contest that I'm trying is just me doing it with some help from Gail. It seems simple, just print, cut, pick, mail. We'll see? Auctions require more involvement and a set-up. sal H...

Re: Spydies for good causes?

The few knives they have done this with have been from private collections. I really don't think they keep all that many old ones around. Not ones that aren't needed for business reasons. This isn't a huge worldwide walmart/amazon sized business and personally I'd feel strange asking them to donate...

Spydies for good causes?

Considering the success of Sal's "Contest test - Laguiole", I wonder if it would not be a good idea for Spyderco to organize auctions of unique pieces in the forum to support good causes. I don't know if Spyderco keeps a few units of discontinued models but if, for example, Spyderco organi...

Re: Are We Spyder-Heads In the Blade Steel Minority?

The answer to your question (Are We Spyder-Heads In the Blade Steel Minority?) is, in my opinion, obviously yes. We are the minority because the vast majority the only thing they know about their knives is that they are made of steel (many, millions maybe, would even say that they are made of iron ....
