Thanks guys, this helps a lot, I will keep at it in the morning as my wife has just grounded me from the basement tonight. I will go back to the brown rods and start over and just take longer with each set. I am going to go with the DMT aligner kit after this escapade and hopefully that setup will ...

Yea, I have a burr, and I have watched his vids, I will keep trying, this xhp seems to be more difficult to sharpen than s30v. Good deal it sounds like you have it covered now, I have a Domino also and have not sharpened it yet so now I know what to expect. Just keep at it I think you just have not...

Alrighty well on that topic, I got the news last week that I will be getting a forum knife. So shortly I will be in the same boat. I am already thinking I will not carry it, I have a native 5 so that should give me my native fix. That said I will have to see how tempted I am once it arrives. Good l...

Sorry once you dull the Domino you have to buy a new one and send your old one to me. Lol
Try marking the edge with a black marker to see where its removing metal from you might need to spend some time setting the angle or get the diamond rods to speed things up.

I have been using the Lansky diamond system for over 10 years or more its been so long I can't remember when I bought it. I also have a Sharpmaker that is only a month old. The Lansky is my favorite but the Sharpmaker is becoming my new favorite. Once the bevel is set for touching up the edge the Sh...

I have the new iPad I don't remember what the pixels are but your Galaxy 3 has a nice camera in it, or I just suck at taking and editing pictures. Lol

I think a swedge ads a lot to the overall appearance of the blade and might make the point sharper but that's about it to me. Depending on how deep it is can weaken the tip a little but if done right it won't make much difference. Some knives they look good and others they look like a after thought....

So sorry to hear about your health problems, I hope it works out for you. Health care is kind of something we take for granted in our neck of the world but I am no stranger to financial pressures and the combination of the illness and the stress of the finances is certainly not a winning strategy f...

Maybe it depends what facility the MRI is done and how things are further processed. Also its possible that or the ho...

For some reason, I thought that you had work related injury. I thought that your employer should cover treatment. Otherwise, it is extremely sad. MRI alone is $$$$. I cannot imagine how people with health problem and without insurance can pay their bills. Good luck to you, let's hope everything wil...
