Re: Considering an Atlantic Salt..
I have a PE yellow example from the earliest production batch. I bought it in person at Country Knives in Intercourse, PA. :) Have a yellow SE Atlantic scheduled to arrive Friday -- it will be my winter boat knife for fishing prawns and crab. My wife carries a SE Saver; not a whole lot smaller, but ...

Re: Tighe Stick
It is beautifully well done, and a killer deal at the recent closeout prices. S90V and titanium in an artful design. What's not to like?!

Re: The One Last Chance Challenge!
I have always been fond of how handy, maneuverable, lightweight, and useful the Native is, especially in SE. I carried and used one frequently back when I was in the Peace Corps 10 years ago. A SE H1 Native Salt would be a top carry piece, for sure.

+1 serrated Pacific. A real chainsaw, and great showcase of the best qualities of Spyderco's exceptional serrations. Plus amazing edge-holding properties.

Re: My thoughts about the Positron
I bought one on closeout at KC. Not my usual style, but I couldn't resist S35V and the polished G10 at such an affordable price. I'm very surprised that this design is being discontinued rather than taking the knife world by storm. It flips great, and while I guess I can imagine why some people take...

I also like thin blades. I wish the Centofante 3 were available in some sprint options. Perhaps XHP or LC200N?

Re: Knives designed for women: Women chime in
My wife frequently expresses the opinion that it isn't worthwhile to own a non-salt knife. While she prefers larger blades, her jeans have smaller pockets, which limits her carry options. She doesn't like "pointy" blades because she thinks they are too prone to accidents, especially while ...

Re: Lost spydies
I have lost three: -- A 440v mili that was stolen 10 years ago during my last days in the Peace Corps. I know exactly who stole it, but had no hope of recovering the knife, and felt bad for them, so accepted the loss. -- A dragonfly salt that I lost while body boarding in Hawaii. The waves that day ...

Re: H1 Spyderhawks
I would be very interested to try a PE Spyderhawk in LC200N. It is surprising that hawkbills remain a "niche" item with such a small yet intensely devoted cult. Perhaps there is a need for educational outreach -- an illustrative video and/or article about their practicality in various dive...
