I would say that from my personal expierences... Akido is an exceptional art for self defense.. it is very very effective and a very powerful art.. the draw back is it takes many many years to be truly proficent in it... ive studied for about 5years.. and havent even graced the 'meat' of what it has...

If any one shows an interest.. I suggest using Yahoo... you can create a room... you can make it invite only .. and its a easy, care free way to see if it would work with out the time invested in creating an IRC ... just a test run for a while... ya see??

Id settle for spyderco to 'perfect' the Cold Steel El Hombre... say with SS, ultra thin handle but of same type of geometry (ok,ok... a G10 for those of you that like that stuff), the spider hole replacing the sharp and not so efficent thumb stud, and Id perfer a plain edge, however th...
