Re: To M4 or not to M4...
I know everyone is going nuts over rex45 because it ran 67 hrc - but what's stopping m4 from being run that high? Do the components that allow it to be a hot work steel allow it to achieve a higher hardness?

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Spyderco makes all three in 8 X2 Medium , Fine and Ultra Fine. I have both the medium and the fine but have held off on the UF because the two of these work so well. To answer the question yes I do use these stones I found it very useful taking the chips out of a Cold Steel Recon Tanto unscrupulous...

Re: Official 2020 Discontinued List
I disagree. If you are a collector, there is no better time to buy. A few years ago, the k2 got discontinued. They were sell for $100 I think. If you can find one now, they are like $300. Personally I really love some of the big collaboration knives but won’t get much actual pocket time. So this is...

Gpknives too
The mantra 2 is so unique among the Spyderco line for being actually low profile - so sleek, and that up turned drop point looks so useful like the Phil wilsons

Re: Help me decide : Chicago , Ladybug, Manbug
I can't get along ergonomically with the lady/man bugs - those finger grooves force my fingers in an awkward spot - 58mm victorinoxes work better
I'd go with the urban/chap/lil native/dragonfly size

Re: Knives I wish I had bought two of
I used to buy 2 of a lot of models - but I realized it's not like I'm going to wear any out any time soon... So I follow SF Native's mantra of looking ahead. "Oh, I need 2 of these in case I lose one". Eh, I'm if someone had to restart their collection, they'd be happy with just one catalo...

Mantra 2 was one of the rare slim profile spydercos
I thought the junction was already discontinued along with the stepped ti chaparrals?

Same with freehanding, I end up over compensating for the curve and rounding the tip When big brown bear stabbed the steel and other stuff ...
