Re: Seconds Sale.

Yes, please keep them coming! I was close to making it this year, but I am about 8 hours drive away. Hopefully one of these years soon I’ll come out.

Seeing how 20CP is simply an analog of Crucible CPM S90V, and we have lots of S90V sprints. 'Spect it's cheaper to buy Crucibles version?
It's 20CV.
These are two different steels; CPM-20CV/CTS-20CP. Both are correct. I think they meant to say “20CP” (or more correctly, CTS-20CP)

Re: Spyderco playing cards

Just get a Spyderco decal (or two, one for reverse side) and slap it on a black or white mug. I’d go for one that has a relatively flat surface. Too much convex, and you’ll warp the decal.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2

The older I get, the less I like bright colors like this. That said, I’m still going to pick one up! I also hope for a future run with a DLC coated blade/black hardware.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

I’m enjoying this Shaman immensely, and especially like the Micarta. It’s a nice change from metal/plastic handles, and I think we need more of it! I used it to open my SpyderCards :) I’m excited to see what models are inside.
Edit: wow, that looks bad... click the photo for a (slightly) better look.

Re: Spyderco playing cards

Yeah, I think so too. They’re simply a bonus item included in order to get BHQ more business. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just saying they aren’t available to buy by themselves for a reason. I’m just happy to have the option. Grab a currently available (discounted) discontinued bundl...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

I grabbed a Magnitude + Little native bundle... okay maybe I bought two. The Magnitude is excellent.
I got the Hanan + Urban as well, but that Hanan has a nice way of biting your finger as you flip it open :/

I’m surprised these are still around, to be honest! Crazy good deals.

Re: Which steels did you carry today?

S35VN (Kizer Yorkie)
Cruwear (Crucarta shaman)

The two steels have separate traits that make the combo more versatile. Now, if only I had a use for them then I could try them out :P they’re fun to carry though. I thought the shaman would feel much larger in pocket than it does.

Re: Which steels did you carry today?

VG-10 (Temperance 2)
S30V (Magnitude)

I like to carry fixed blades in cold weather, though I don’t think my jacket today covered much of anything :o I also normally carry much smaller knives, but lately I’ve been surprised by how well bigger ones carry vs what I expected before I ever carried one.

Got one as well, thanks Koenigsegg! Put a Kershaw 777 into the cart as well, since it saved me $10 off the total. Got to love DLT.

Out of stock at DLT

Re: Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

The mule is specifically stamped “Cruwear” whereas most (any I have seen) other Spyderco knives using Cruwear, will be stamped as “CPM-Cruwear”. I have to assume it’s not CPM-Cruwear.

Darn missing 3v and 4v
Interesting pd1 over 100 cuts more than cruwear. Thought people said they're the same.
I’m no expert, and haven’t looked much into this, but I’m pretty sure “Cruwear” and “CPM-Cruwear” are two different steels.
