Re: Sending a knife or knives through the mail?

For me, up here in Canada, I find that USPS is the best way to go. FedEx and UPS are ripoffs, and offer nothing better than USPS.
Well packaged with lots of padding is the way to go as has been mentioned.

Re: Variety in the collection (pics/thoughts)

Nice knives. The Nilte Quiete in particular. I would love to get one, but they are a little on the pricey side! If I an get a deal on one, I'll pick it up. I like interesting knives and that qualifies. I've got a bunch of non spydies. I like the variety and I think that other companies can make kniv...

I've brought up a few times that I have seen issues with a couple of the recent Japanese made models. Not sure what is going on over there, if it is a slow decline in quality of the manufaturing or just a number of knives making it through inspection that shouldn't have. Either way, I have been avoi...

Nice job Paul. It's a hard thing to do that is for sure. I got lucky and after smoking for about 13 years, one day I just had enough and stopped. I still get cravings on occasion...and it has been about 12 years since I stopped. that is usually when the situation is one where I used to enjoy smoking...

I do when I can. I have a couple of the caly super blues and I am looking for a second leaf blade urban and M4 Manix.

Sometimes you just need to have more than one, especially ones that you use a lot and put in harms way.

(the one held by Gayle in that old picture does not resemble the current prototype shown by Sal and Eric). TedP This is a little disappointing...the one is the video looks SO M*****F****** good! It looks a little narrower and a little longer which is exactly what IMO would make the GB2 perfection...

IMO BD1 just isn't worth it...S110V isn't hard to sharpen, it just takes patience because it is a much harder steel and so will require a lot more passes. As long as you know how to put a good edge on a knife and have more than 30 seconds to sharpen, no worries. Plus if your use is light hten S110V ...

I am very sorry ot hear that Ken. I have a dog that I had to give up when I had my kidney transplant, but he went to some friends, and I absolutely dread the day that happens...They are part of the family for sure.

All my best to you and your wife.

Thanks for the advice guys...I was thinking a keyhain type light because it is less likely to be lost if it is attached to her keys. And I was thinking that something around 100 lumens would probably be a temporary help to get away at least....but it is also useful as a light when needed.

AAA or smallest AA light...

that goes into high mode first? Any options there? I'd prefer it be on the cheaper side of things...so no customs or anything. My sister has mentioned that she wants a light. She will only carry small, and the odds are that it will get lost. So any suggestions would be very helpful. I figure that go...
