Anyone have in hand pictures? Especially if you have medium-large to large sized hands. Thanks.

Re: Just got my Techno
I was iffy on it at first. But as it broke in, I started to love it. And it is now one of the top choices for carry for me. Especially if I am going to be around people that aren't too impressed by knives and often have little freak outs when they appear.

Snoo, as a side I think this was a great discussion with a couple hiccups. Thanks for making the thread :). I certainly knew it was more inquisitive than inflammatory. Thanks Mate. I am usually not inflammatory on purpose. I took Buddha at his word when he said question everything though and if I w...

Re: The no-Choil Spyders
Choils may be a preference but I don't honestly buy the safety factor unless it's a Slip-It. I completely agree. I use mostly knives without choils and have never cut myself because there wasn't one. I personally prefer designs that use the blade for edge. A choil in the handle is cool, but I want ...

Thanks for the reply Mike. I appreciate it.
I think that there is a good likelihood that I will actually go with the Bowie first, and the K2 second. Price wasn't ever the issue for me...

Re: Pricing...huh?
It would be academically interesting to understand where the extra cost is incurred on the bowie And this is what my original question was. What is it that makes the knife more expensive when on the surface they appear to be similar. Ti, Frame Lock, collabs.... But yes this thread was quickly off t...

Re: Pricing...huh?
Yes lets not get all up in arms or anything...I do plan on eventually buying both of these knives, and the costs, while high, are not a deterrent for me. I was genuinely curious because it would seem from looking at the knives that they are very similar in a lot more ways than they are different. Do...

Pricing...huh?
Not a dig, nor a complaint. Just genuinely curious. K2. Super high end steel, collab, huge amount of materials approx $225 Slysz Bowie. High end steel, collab, smaller amount of materials approx $280 I'm not understanding the huge price difference especially considering the size (amount of materials...

Re: Can't decide, Maxpedition bags...
What made you choose 5.11 over Maxpedition?
I have a sling bag from Maxpedition, the Malaga, and it is a great bag but I need something larger. Enough to carry all my daily stuff plus a change of clothes etc.

Can't decide, Maxpedition bags...
I need a bigger bag...and I can't decide between the Maxpedition Condor II and the Falcon II. Both are very similar, but for some reason I just can't make a decision. Any opinions?

Serrata. No doubt in my mind.
However, I really need a Phil Wilson custom. I know exactly what I want, just wish he would open his books!

Re: Spyderco Sgian Dubh?
I don't think that there would be a market at all...but, if they promised not to put a hole in it, I would take one. M4, slightly hollow ground, with thunderstorm kevlar handles.

Re: Opening Speed: Thumb Stud vs SpyderHole?
I'd say that there are too many variables to definitely say. To try and find out you'd need the same lock type, same amount of pressure on the blade from the lock, same length, weight and shape of blade, the distance from the pivot to the thumb stud/hole would have to be the same...and that is just o...

Re: Sal, have you ever looked into making Ti Integral folder
I think that it would be excellent to see a Spyderco integral folder. My concern would be having the rest of the knife be what I like. I'm getting more and more picky with what I buy these days.

Re: What do you call the opposite sides of a knife?
I have occasionally seen the side in your top picture referred to as the "presentation side". Again the majority of makers and users are right handed and so that is the side of the knife that they generally make look pretty.

Re: Variety in the collection (pics/thoughts)
I was lucky to have found the Nilte for little more than the Ritter M390, but after having it for a few weeks I decided it was in my best interests to part ways. Shipped it out this morning to a good home. The two-handed opening really inconvenienced me when I went to play with it at my desk :) Tha...
