Re: Black Friday Deals
Yep, between MAP enforcement and the general production slow down I've bought very few Spydies this year. This thread reminds me that there was once a real thrill in a good deal on a knife I'd had on my wish list. I hope they will consider doing this more often. This is almost nostalgic. :grin-squin...

How's the temp this year? Looks chilly. Wish I was there again, but airfare was high this year.

Re: C125 Khukuri
The folding Khukuri by Ed Schempp appears to be becoming 'obscure'. It's definitely cool and practical. https://youtu.be/nvgDWcmFwTs https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/schemppkhukri_spyderco.jpg It was a knife so odd you had to hold it to understand. I love mine, but do not carry i...

Re: The Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight: A comprehensive review
I bend the clip slightly on almost every knife I carry. sal How would you recommend tuning the clip - remove the clip from the knife and put the tab with the holes in a bench vise? Is there a better way? Thanks! With the clip on, I often slide some cardboard under and lift gently, checking frequent...

Re: Ireland knife carry
Well, I was hoping to see if there was anyone with first hand knowledge. I figure a SAK should be okay, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Ireland knife carry
I'll be travelling through Ireland and it looks like knives are strictly regulated. Anyone have experience there? Would a SAK be okay? A small clipitool?

Re: I’m interested in a D’Allara Salt! Anyone else?
Since the D'Allara got some hate for being hard to unlock, a wet environment version seems like it wouldn't work in the current design. I'd be interested to see a backlock version, though I'm not sure it's likely. For this reason, mine is never carried. Sad, because otherwise this would be a great ...

Re: Do yourselves a favor; get an ultrafine bench stone for washer polishing.
A 4 way emory board will work as well and they are under $2. I have polished several sets and it always helps smooth things out a bit with pivot action.

I don't think you want to pry with the tab that opens the knife. You risk bending it.

Re: Flatbyrd 2?
Hi jOsephchan, Welcome to our forum. Maybe some time in the future? But right now we have no plans to redesign and retool up for another flatbyrd. sal That's a bummer. I had and used a Flatbyrd in CE while in college. I cut a lot of cardboard stocking retail shelves. I never considered putting it i...

Re: Magnacut in Seki Salts
It will be interesting to see what "standard" HT ends up as for Magnacut. Most early production seems 61-62. Will that end up being seen as a couple points too low? I know Larrin has worked with Protech to dial things in, but not sure where they ended up. Hogue told me 61-62 is where they ...

Re: Bad quality of C192TIPM390 Spyderco PITS M390
I guess I'm in the camp where if you want to inspect every cranny of a knife and expect perfection you should be buying customs. That "bad" spot would probably go unnoticed by 95% of the knife buying public and most people who do notice, probably don't care. I also don't think the whole, i...

Re: Exclusive wave 2022
I'm waiting for some more new models to pique my interest. I'm about exclusived out on the models I like enough to buy multiples of. The result is I've been buying other brands in the meantime. Can't wait to see some truly new stuff in the lineup here.

Re: Is this normal spyderhole finish? [Seki city quality]
I think perhaps you could put your thumb in it and use it rather than staring at it, but that's just me. The LT3 isn't really an art piece. If you want a knife that meets your standards you should consider buying in person or accept occasional dissatisfaction. I am sure I've never inspected most of ...
