Anyone who hasn't suggested it, hasn't sliced with one.
VG10 has excellent properties for touch ups and rust resistance. The ZDP version, if it ever comes, will satisfy your super steel desires.

Re: New Release! - Police 3 with ZDP-189 and Titanium Scales
Polecat, I have to agree on the Caly sprint, I loved the concept, but the execution was a little disappointing. I think that the edge treatment of the brown G10 is what made the execution less appealing. I love the C54 original, and if they improved the edge treatment of the handles on the new model...

Re: New Release! - Police 3 with ZDP-189 and Titanium Scales
Wow. Cheap theatrics and misleading headlines really can work! So, I'm not the only fan of the Police 3 after all? I understand there are areas where the Police 3 is over the limit for carry, but for everywhere else, it is really not that big. It is so slim that it disappears in the pocket, and it i...

New Release! - Police 3 with ZDP-189 and Titanium Scales
Ok, just a cheap headline to get your attention...
Forgive me, sometimes I stoop to low levels to draw attention to GREAT concepts.
Since I seem to be the only fan of the Police 3 it may never happen...but a man can dream!
Oh yeah, this dream knife...it has a non-clad blade.

Endura4 Damascus Titanium Handles C10TIPD
No reviews, no threads on the big forums, not even a Youtube box opening or review of any kind. I can see that a few of these are popping up on the bay with huge price variance, but my usual dealers show no sign of these. Are the ones on the bay fakes? Why is there no buzz over these? There is not e...

Re: Why is there no sprints or special editions of the Police 3?
It would seem that right now would be a good time to rejuvenate this model. Spyderco, as well as other companies are coming out with more and more large folders, so it seems that there is demand for longer blades. I would put the geometry of this blade against any of the other large folders being be...

Re: Why is there no sprints or special editions of the Police 3?
Thanks for the feedback guys. I am aware of all the Police variations over the years, but I don't consider the Police to be the same model as the Police 3, there are so many differences between the Police and Police 3. It is the Police 3 that is neglected in terms of variations. I guess Spyderco has...

Why is there no sprints or special editions of the Police 3?
The Police 3 is, positively, one of my favourite Spyderco's. Why does it seem like the Police 3 is so overlooked in the lineup ? It seems like all the other models are getting facelifts, sprints, limited runs etc? There's not even a variant with different scale colors, let alone scale materials or b...

Re: If you could bring one discontinued Spyderco back?
Bring back the full size Calypso. If we can't have Micarta with no liners back, how about polished G-10 with no liners? I have always loved the original full size Calypso, and I even bought the brown redux, but ended up selling it, because the spirit of the original just wasn't there for me. The ori...

Re: Caly 3.5 discontinued?
I am really disappointed! I really loved the plain G10/VG10 version... It is my office carry knife that is in a small enough package that it doesn't scare people, yet is long enough to cut my apple in half. I had the zdp version but sold it because I found the soft laminate cladding scratched to eas...
