I also started with larger knives and still like them. In my state you can carry blade under 4". My primary EDC is Native, and 3" blade, in my opinion, is optimal and it should not scare people. 2.5" should be fine also, I just do not have EDC smaller than Native, but I am thinking ab...

It is a great tool. I just finished to use mine. Native come out very sharp.
Washed stones, dried them and it is ready for next.

Native serve me really well. It is right size for EDC, very ergonomic, lightweight.
