Re: Polestar in bd1n?
The Tenacious is why I think the Polestar doesn't sell that well.
I know sal says they're different knives, but to the average buyer, they're comparable. The bd1 isn't seen as enough of an upgrade. I know sal is super proud of the design, so maybe an upgrade to m390/204p?

Cricket - due for an upgrade?
I feel like the cricket has been around forever in it's current form, but rarely gets talked about anymore, BUT hasn't been discontinued yet, so it must be doing something right. Kinda want one (tiny hawkbillish blade) but dread sharpening it (okay that's a personal problem) How would you "upgr...

Re: Knives you rarely carry but hesitate to part with for non sentimental reasons?
LionSpy. Cool knife and built like a tank, but I don't really need a tank so I usually grab a military instead ;) I love that knife on paper, but that thing is more tank than even a Strider is VG10 Calypso Jr - spyderco sure ain't making anymore - this was my spare - I keep it around as a text book...

Re: Cost of Sage 5 LW
Other than the Para 3 lw, the Sage lw HAS liners "that go all the way round the handle". At least that's roughly what Eric said in some interview. Might add costs, don't know... Given the highly unusual internal workings of the Para 3 LW, I am sure the R&D costs are higher on that mod...

Does the coarse stone, stropped with diamond or honed on a Spyderco uf method work well for the other members of the sxxv family as well?

I would like a larger one (maybe bigger than a 58mm sak but smaller than a 74mm) in a thinner stock

Whats the smallest spyderco you're comfortable using ? The lady and man bugs are a bridge too far for me, but the dragonfly is perfect.
